We had the good fortune of connecting with Cleo J’Adore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cleo, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued an artistic career because it is where I am most fulfilled. Creating art is a powerful form of expression. I discovered how much change I can affect with my voice and have been cultivating a brand derived from that fact alone.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I intentionally try to test boundaries with my music. From my approach to each track to the different tones I choose to use in order to give off a mood and set a vibe. I am most proud that my first and only project as an artist was made from a place of fearlessness. I got where I am today in music professionally by experience and lessons. It was not easy but it was worth it. I overcame challenges by my faith in God. The lessons I’ve learned along the way is 1. everyone has an opinion the best thing you can do is trust yourself. 2. Never lose sight of who you are and your purpose. 3. Nothing is black and white. What I want the world to understand about me, my brand, and my story is that I am a force NOT to be reckoned with, I am the flame that has been sparked and ready to consume everything around me in the best way possible. I will spark this generation to live for more than validation. I aim to inspire others to live authentically and love deeper.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If I were showing someone a good time in my city I would take them to Hullabaloo to eat some guava wings. Throwing back drinks with the Jamaicans at Pike Road. Visit Vintage Wine & Charcuterie in Tequesta, Grassy Waters Nature Preserve, & Anne Norton Sculpture Gardens. We would hangout at Ocean Reef Park and where ever Soulfam Open Mic is at for the evening.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to JKid. JKid is an exceptional and hardworking man. His work ethics is through the roof! He has shot music videos for a variety of artists and has been building a solid brand reputation since he was in high school which really was not that long ago. He has come a long way and has so far to go! His journey has been remarkable thus far.
