We had the good fortune of connecting with Cristhian Fong and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cristhian, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Good question. Risk in my career has defined every move. I truly believe in the “no risk no reward” mentality. I’ve taken risks in every one of my career advancements from switching companies to starting new roles. We never know what’s really ahead of us and therefore we get that knot in our stomachs to change. It makes you second guess your decision, but looking ahead regardless of the outcome is what we need to focus on. Once you get there, make it work regardless of obstacles. Risk is GROWTH whether positive or negative. If you fail, you now have the know-how going forward. Recently we have grown our team and I now have had to delegate. This is time-consuming and challenging. It forced me to let go which is hard to do, but I realized that by doing so it allows me to focus on the overall of the business. You need help in order to grow and you need to trust those around you. Building a team and a good environment is the key to success.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Wynwood – is a must if you are visiting Miami these days! It’s an area that’s constantly growing and developing. Miami Design District – if you are looking for good high-end shopping and interior design shops Rubell Family Collection – Biggest private contemporary art gallery collection in North America Ironside – up and coming area for interior designers and architects

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My biggest drive and encouragement in this process has been my family, primarily my kids. They inspire me every day to be a better person and to do better both personally and professionally. I can only hope that I set a good example for them!
