We had the good fortune of connecting with Cristina Arcay and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cristina, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I mainly wanted to work more projects/clients and diversify my portfolio while managing my own time, creating a name for myself and earning more money, there was only one option, opening up my own business. I had been working for a management firm for the past 5 years mainly with one artist and I had been investing all my time building and expanding my clients brand. COVID hit, touring stopped and everything was starting to slow down; everything but music and the digital world. At that point I was certain about my next moves. I saw the opportunity to build a business that included my passions, music, marketing, creativity and the digital world all in one. That was how I opened a creative agency that focuses in music marketing in the Latin market and from then to now I’ve worked with the top latin artists and companies including: Thalia, Juan Luis Guerra, Danna Paola, Tainy, NEON16, META, Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation, Ntertian, Capitol Records and more.

What should our readers know about your business?
ARRO Media is a music marketing agency, based in Miami, FL founded in 2020 and led by music executive Cristina Arcay. ARRO is focused on building creative digital, experiential and social media strategies to drive music releases and artistic careers to the next level. We have successfully managed campaigns for clients like Thalia, Juan Luis Guerra, Danna Paola, Tainy, NEON16, Capitol Records, Facebook, NFL, Ntertain and more. What distinguishes us is our ability to discover trends before they break, our ability to impact through social/earned media and our expertise, connection and passion for the music industry.

ARRO is different because even though we are a business we are also creating a community. We work with creatives from all around the world to design innovative strategies for each of our clients. On top of that we also share with our community best practices, case studies, news, trends and how to navigate the digital space to build a better presence online. It is also a latina- women owned business and we carry that with a lot of pride.

Being an entrepreneur means you are actively working for your company 24/7 and balancing that with my personal life definitely was overwhelming but I think that as time passes by I’ve been learning to manage everything better, it surely is something that you have to learn by yourself and by living it. Another aspect of being your own boss is that of leadership, right now I have 4 full time employees and I strive everyday to be conscious of that and of my actions as a role model for them. I show up everyday for them, for my clients, for my community and for myself.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would go for a morning workout at F45 or an outdoor workout or dog walk at Margaret pace park.

I would take them to eat at brunch at Sadelles, lunch at Mandolin or Uchi, dinner at Osaka or Carbone.

We would go to the pool/beach or anything that involves going out to enjoy Miami weather.

I would check if there are any concerts or games at the FTX arena and that would be a perfect hang on Saturday.

Shopping at design district or Brickell city center just for a quick dessert or pizza at Casa Tua.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to the strong women in my family that have instilled in me core values, work ethic, love, responsibility, and have made me the women I am today. I couldn’t have had better role models and mentors that provided all the tools necessary to be independent, successful and happy.
