Meet Cristina Frazao | Jewelry Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Cristina Frazao and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cristina, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Since I started considering which professional path to take, I knew it would direct me to a creative career. I got my college degree in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, focused on creative advertising and communication. Very early I started working in Advertising Agencies with large clients. However, I started to develop a passion for fashion and design, and for 2 years, living in New York, I had the chance to study jewelry design and production. From that point, since 2001, I developed the necessary skills to creatively work in my studio developing pieces in gold and precious stones for my clients and for various stores in Brazil. With the expansion of the online market and today living in the United States, I decided to create a store with distinguished style now applied to fashion jewelry. My focus is to combine international materials and diverse trends, applying my design jewelry experience, pursuing quality and beauty, always with the same care and passion I have been employing to my job since I started my career.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think is my expertise and experience as a designer that set me apart from others. Behind each collection I launch, there is am extensive research of materials, style and trends. As any career there is a risk of failure but I always believed that if you work really hard, with passion and knowledge, the chances to succeed increases immensely. And you have to truly believe in yourself. My legacy is to develop a brand known by its creativity and quality.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In Miami, I should take him to visit the Vizcaya Museum and the Deering State to show him where this marvelous city started back in the 20’s. Then, I will take him to Coconut Grove or Coral Gables area for eating or drinking. For swimming in the best beach ever, South Point Beach is my favorite spot. For shopping and art, the Design District has the best selection of sophisticated shops and art galleries.
