We had the good fortune of connecting with Crystal Ly Tran and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Crystal Ly, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to create a business where I was able to deliver world-class service to my clients with the use of technology. Also while building a team to help agents become successful realtors. The two really work hand in hand because I am able to get assistance to service all my clients and coach agents. I love creating systems that help with make the homebuying and selling process easier.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I have many businesses. My primary business is real estate. I have my own medium size real estate team that I started in 2018. Since then I have become a consistent top producer of my firm. We are ranked in the top half of the 1% at BHHS Chicago. My marketing/creativity skills set me apart from other agents. Unlike other agents, I don’t have to rely on a marketing department. I am able to design a lot of my marketing material and actually design my own website. My SEO skills and web presence have allowed me to market myself on top pages of search engines. This allows the buyers and sellers to search online to find me and reach out to work with me. I truly love technology and it has allowed me to create an app called AgentDuty which is a marketplace for realtors to find other busy realtors in their firms to help with day-to-day tasks such as showings, inspections, closings, and even admin help. I have also started working as a marketing consultant for new developments and realtors who are interested in expanding their brands online.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I love hanging out in the Miami fashion district. It’s a great place to walk around and look at fashion and interior design stores. I love eating Greek food and I often go to Mandolin Aegean Bistro. You feel like you have been transported to Greece the food is very authentic and its a place where you can hang out for hours with great company eating, chatting, and drinking beers or lattes.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to give a shout-out to my mother. My mother was an immigrant and she became a real estate investor early on. She actually got licensed years later but her real estate career never flourished because she had a full-time career as an accountant. I also have to give a shout-out to my husband who has been my biggest cheerleader. He always encourages me and builds me up. There are times when I try to pitch for a business deal that I would feel is out o my league or experience level, but my husband helps me build courage and self-esteem. He constantly compliments me and tells me how proud he is of me.
