We had the good fortune of connecting with Cuddy Rex and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cuddy, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
What makes me happy? That’s a different question no ones really asks that. What makes me happy is peace. Nothing is better than having a piece of mind. Love also makes me happy. Nothing is stronger than love. Those are two things you can’t buy.
Now aside from that, food, music and great views will always keep a smile on my face. Try me haha!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart from others in the industry is my versatility and the multiple hats I wear. As a DJ, I have rocked at clubs, private events, and on radio stations. I has also established my self as a master of ceremonies for various events, bringing my unique style and energy to each occasion.

But we don’t stop there – I am also a seasoned producer, having worked on shows for renowned DJs and radio hosts, as well as producing my own show for SnapChat called The Dreamers House, which I also hosted. And ,I am a comedian, I’ve curated and produced my own comedy shows, performed stand-up, and created online content like skits and parodies. My diverse skill set and talent in various genres and formats set me apart from others in the industry.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Ironically, people do alwyas hit me up for these type of things becuase ‘I be Knowin” lol So if I had to suggest some cool places for my firends to go, I would first brung them to my home town of Jersey City. We would start off at a new spot I like to eat and I DJ at called Betties on Westside ave. The food is on point! The music is great, and they have hookah if you’re into all that. After we got a good meal in to solidify our base, I would take them downtown Jersey City in the grove street area for drinks. Its great ambiance and scenery for someone thats not from the area. Then I would take them to the water front for the ultimate vibe. Front row seat to the immaculate view of the city. You can bring your music, or whatever you need to set the vibe to your perfection.
After we did Jersey for a day I would take the into the city.
Its so many things to do in the city. I would take them to monumental places like The World Trade Center, Washington Sq park, The High Line. My favorite places to eat I would also take them is Peppas, Coppelia, and Brooklyn Chop House. And of course I would take them to the hot spots in the city like Taj II, Katra, Tao, and Marquee. It would be an endless party and feast hanging out with me lol

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a big shout out to DJ Epidemik and the good people at Rappin Lounge Radio. Epidemik deserves a little credit in my story because we go back close to 10 years and when he met me I wasn’t even DJing at the moment. I was working for 2 different lifestyle programs, 1 for an alcohol company and another was a record label. When I was in the club for a meeting with the alcohol brand I was with, I figured I’d go to the DJ and work some records that I’m pushing at the moment. From there we locked in!
He’s apart of the reason I got back on the turntables. I was thinking about it for some time and he motivated me to get back started from my hiatus as a DJ. From there we rocked plenty of parties and events.
Later down the line, he got an opprotunity to work a radio station and he brought me in. So if it wasn’t for the bro, very possibly not be in the position I’m in to do what I love. Shout out to DJ Epidemik, Team Epidemik, Rappin Lounge Radio, and iHeart Radio.
