We had the good fortune of connecting with Damion Fraser and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Damion, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking

Taking risk as an entrepreneur is literally the best and only way to be a true success in our country America was built on bussiness and infrastructure which is all built on risk taking the rule of the T.R.A.P is to take risk and prosper you are creating opportunities to work in a space where your income is only limited by your ability to work and you can work as much as you want. Your income and future success solely relies on you.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

I run two businesses I own and operate both a fitness company and a clothing brand my fitness company is called maxrep fitness I’ve been in Bussiness for 10 years now that started when I was working in the corporate space with a well known gym then I branched out took the things I learned and started maxrep fitness . I always say that fitness saved my life it came at a critical junction point for me as a young man trying to land on my feet after setbacks with my professional football career fitness gave me purpose and a sense of direction that I didn’t have before . The second business I started was out of my love for fashion and a lesson I learned from my father. Our Saturday afternoon rituals of watching movies together we were watching one his favorite movies the hunt for red October there’s a scene where a sub commander decides to change the course of things and start to hunt those who were hunting him my dad being ever so eager to deliver a lesson stops the movie and says to me “if you don’t hunt you don’t eat” I kept that with me over the years and I used it as fuel to get me through some tough spots in my life . When I got to the point where all of the ideas I had and plans I laid for my brand to become a reality I built it on that message hence the name HUNTERS AND HOUNDS though the name sounds very  serious the brand itself is built on vintage style and quality pieces at an affordable price point ..while also being forward conscious of where we are from a fashion sense I draw inspiration from the places I’ve been to experiences I’ve had and things I see on a day to day basis and so far it has been a meaningful journey for me and I love every minute of it hunters and hounds has been in Bussiness for three years now and we are on our fifth collection and we are coming up on launching the sixth collection in July capsule drops for holidays and speciality pieces also get released in between the collection launches and we try to evolve and keep our community engaged with the brand .

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Miami is rich in culture so being that there’s so much to do i would stick to the spots I’ve come to know and like to go whether it’s kekoon on a Friday night for dinner and drinks or smoking pie with made in Philly on a Saturday you really can’t go wrong I’m not big on night life but a good lounge or hookah bar is clutch haze is always a great time the Dj’s there are always on point . For sight seeing and a more tourist type vibe I’d do brickell city center there’s so many spots to shop and eat and of course we have wynwood which in itself has become a go to if your a creative. from the deck market place to just walking around checking out some of the pop up museums you can’t go wrong .

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

I’d like to give a shout to my girlfriend she’s my inspiration and motivation because she is the epitome of I do exactly as I say she is straight forward honest and brave she’s fearless about getting what is rightfully hers I admire so many of the traits that she has but the one that stands out the most to me is her drive and optimism.
