Meet Dan Fields | Mountain Bike Podcaster

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dan Fields and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dan, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Ride & Laugh podcast talks a lot about mountain bikes! We also talk about becoming better riders when we’re present, grounded, in the moment and flowing with the ride. We encourage our listeners to stay present on the trail and trust their skills. We also encourage listeners to be current ‘off the bike’ in their day to day lives. More presence, more flow, more peace, more joy! Awakening humans to their true potential through mountain biking!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My career has been a series of lessons. I have been in the business world for most of my career as an owner of a small manufacturing company called, Fielco Adhesives. Infinite gratitude for a successful small business!
My strengths have always been connecting with people. I’ve always wanted the best for everyone I work with. Abundance and success for our employees and abundance and success for our customers and vendors. The past couple years I have felt a pull towards my true passion of mountain biking. I’ve learned that everything always works out for the best. Tune into intuition and follow our passions. That is what I’m doing with Ride & Laugh Podcast. Following my passion for mountain biking and for helping other riders unlock their potential. I also enjoy entertaining and laughing to make fun content. We often get comments about how high the vibe is on the pod!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m living just outside Phoenix, Arizona right now. If my best friend was visiting… we would go for a mountain bike ride just about every day! We would mountain bike at South Mountain in Phoenix, Hawes Trails and Gold Canyon.
I absolutely love going out for breakfast so we would visit my favorite breakfast spots, “Matt’s Big Breakfast” and “Gilbert House.” (Both cook their eggs in real butter with no seed oils)
Dinner is at my favorite BBQ spots, “Joe’s Real BBQ” or “Caldwell County BBQ” in Gilbert.
Dessert is “Salt and Straw Ice Cream” or “Frost Gelato.”
Great bike shops in town but “Action Ride Shop” always has great shirts, hats, gear and all the details on local rides.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I love the books, “Effortless Being” by David Bingham.
