We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniel Buruian and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daniel, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
There is always something that takes some of us out of the comfort zone, and there is always room for everything to be done in a better way ! The Idea of better and improvement fueled my desire to bring my professional life to a more professional place in a bigger scale. Opening a business means to build a new dimension of professionalism and this is something that i truly and religiously believe in. This is something that creates a very creative environment, a place where you want to go get inspired and perform as a hairstylist ! As a business owner i am in charge of quality that i provide to all my clients , it is an achievement – a beautiful , shiny and healthy hair !

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We are certainly all different and we live on the edge of our emotions. Our actions are nothing but a consequence of our imagination . Questionless if we all looked at the clouds in the sky at the same time we would see each of us different shapes and different emotional associations .Personally, I think it’s an emotional dimension that controls my imagination . There is this universe that constantly feeds my desire to express myself through what I love to do – and i really enjoy to see all my clients happy. I am very inspired by the trust that my clients give me when they come to me at the salon and ask me for a certain color or shape. To empathize as much as possible with the color my clients want, I choose to express the colors through food, most of the time, it is easier for me to understand what each client really wants. I will always add a drop of coffee in a natural blonde or a drop of raspberry in a more pastel blonde . If she wants a sandy blond color, I have to know the beaches very well because the sand on the beach in clear water is different from the sand on the beaches in fort lauderdale and we have to share the same clear image of the color! Therefore I only have 2 alternatives I either make exactly the color that my client has in her mind or I surprise her with a different color but much more suitable and more interesting than the initial one -regardless of the situation, I have to be on the same color frequency with my clients .

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am certainly very grateful to the universe that created me and gave me this talent ! I am equally grateful to those who have always appreciated and supported me and to those who have judged me , I believe that for success both are indispensable . I am very grateful to the strongest mentor, a great professional, educator and at the same time a special person – the director of my first cosmetology school – Maria Popescu . I was very motivated by the fact that she really blindly believed in me, and I always did my best not to disappoint her. Years later I realized that she was right in absolutely everything. She always guided me to probably get where she wanted to go. She always told me that in this field you can’t stop being creative, it’s a world that has no limits. You will discover and find yourself in absolutely everything that is beautiful. Most likely she was and she still is my most objective judge, I learned from her that there is always room for a better result !
