We had the good fortune of connecting with Daniel Franklin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daniel, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I wanted to start my own business to be self sufficient. I knew at an early age I couldn’t work for an employer my entire career, but needed to attain the skills and experience necessary to hold my own. Through many years of sacrifice and networking I’m still one of the top celebrity chef’s in Miami. My company, Culinary Royalty has served thousands of guest’s both foreign and domestic over the last 10 years.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The most distinctive part about my creativity is creating a vibe. From the moment I arrive at a clients house they know something special is about to take place. Music. Drinks. And good company. I’m where I’m at in my career today because I never gave up. I’ve sacrificed. I’ve done things most people arn’t willing to do. Ultimately I knew my ability and was willing to bet on my self. Always. Not a day in my journey has been easy. I started cooking over 20 yrs ago and continue to learn each day. Over time we re-create our selfs and evolve as professionals, and thats what drives me. The future is an open book and I’m glad I’m the author.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Komodo. Nikki Beach. Fountain Blu Pool. Liv. Etc

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Truthfully I have to thank a fallen friend and chef who introduced me to the personal / private chef world. Chef Antaun Teasley was murdered on South Beach in 2014, but his legacy and love for food will always live on through my work. Food is a universal language and Chef Teasley personified that through his community outreach and ultimately taught me a very valuable lesson in life. God gives us gifts to bless others…
