Meet Danielle Callender | Creator of Affirmations Everywhere

We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Callender and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danielle, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Around the time just before starting the business, I was in a consistent routine of saying affirmations in the morning, setting intentions for the day and writing in my gratitude journal. I could see and feel a big difference in my day to day, but more importantly, the people around me saw that difference as well and started asking how I was able to maintain such a positive outlook no matter the situation. I knew it was because of the routine I had set in place and it was evident that others needed their own version of that as well. Therefore, I started the business with the thought process of “If people can say something positive to themselves, start their days with gratitude or a positive affirmation before bed, alot can change. If the products I create can change the trajectory of even one person’s day, week or year, I’ve contributed something great.”

What should our readers know about your business?
My business is Affirmations Everywhere. It was created simply off the idea of speaking positively to yourself and remembering to do so regularly. I know firsthand that life can keep us so busy and definitely throw curve balls but self care is of the utmost importance, and I believe you have to be good to yourself so that you can be good to others, and this business is a method of that self care. I am so proud and literally honored to be able to create products that have the ability to spark change in any individual. The process has not been easy but a grateful mindset allows me to roll with the punches of entrepreneurship and keep moving towards the goal. I’ve been able to get to this point by staying consistent and dedicated to the long term goal, knowing that bumps in the road are just a part of the process and also having an amazing support system with me on the journey. I’ve learnt that everything in life is a process. When you set goals, stick to them and stay the course, really amazing things can happen. My business is a representation of that – no matter what you decide to do, once you believe in it and do the work – it will be your version of success.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would have to have two types of days – A fancy day and a chill day! On our fancy day, I’d definitely go to Lincoln Road in Miami, walk around & do some shopping, and maybe grab a drink at Chotto Matte. After, head to Brickell City Center and do dinner at basically any of the restaurants, because they’re so good! On our chill day, I would head right up to Fort Lauderdale Beach, get a day pass to the pool at the W Fort Lauderdale enjoy the beautiful weather we get here in South Florida. On the way home, stop at La Mexicana in Wilton Manors, a hidden gem for Mexican food. They also have fantastic margaritas, thank me later!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Absolutely! There are actually two persons who deserve a huge shoutout in my story. The very idea of my business came after an hour long conversation with one of my closest friends Morgan Knight. From 2018 when the idea formed to this day, she still continues to be the biggest cheerleader, second opinion, sample commenter and all around support for me personally and especially in my business. My boyfriend Sean also is fully deserving of the shoutout because he has been in my corner since day 1 and always supports anything that I decide to do. He’s been the brutally honest one who’s opinion I fully trust to provide the feedback that helps me to correct my course and become better at anything I do within the business.
