We had the good fortune of connecting with Danielle Rollins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Danielle, what do you attribute your success to?
There’s no substitute for hard work. As an entrepreneur you have to wear a lot of hats, and do a lot of the work yourself until you can grow enough to scale. Being authentic and staying true to yourself and your vision really matters.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve always been incredibly creative, with an entrepreneurial spirit. I knew design was something that came naturally to me and that I loved so I launched my own design firm with no experience, but where there’s a will there’s a way. I decorated places for friends and family, took every job I could get and started writing as a contributing editor to Veranda. I started my own clothing line a few years later on a lark when a friend and publicist booked a trunk show for me after seeing pieces I’d made for myself and I jumped at the opportunity to do it. I knew that would be perceived as a socialite so that meant I had to work twice as hard, two times as long and expect the judgement from others. I kept my head down, worked relentlessly and attended every industry event I could. I read business books, took accounting tutorials online, and learned the business side on the go.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live in Palm Beach and our office is on Georgia Avenue in the Design District

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My mother has always been the person I credit for my drive. Early on she hailed perseverance as the one thing no one could ever take from me.
