We had the good fortune of connecting with Daria Beloyvan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Daria, what do you attribute your success to?
The rapid development of my career and my development as a stylist was facilitated by collaborating with the Fashion House of Vyacheslav Zaitsev, a fashion star of international renown. The fashion designer noticed me as a bright and promising model at one of the shows, and he learned that I take part in the shows not only as a model but also as a stylist; he invited me to join his Fashion House. He became a mentor for me, and in a short time, I gained the support of the maestro and won his absolute trust.
In the process of cooperation, I learned all the subtleties and nuances of the fashion industry, studied and absorbed the long experience of the famous fashion designer, and began to participate in the creation of collections. It is essential when, at the beginning of your journey, a unique expert in your professional industry will believe in you and your sense of style, share his experience, and pass on knowledge.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Since childhood, I have dreamed of conquering not only the Russian but also the world catwalk. I did not enter the international arena as a model but as a professional stylist. Cooperation with famous celebrities helped me to find my niche in the fashion industry in Italy, where I was accepted in all fashion circles.
My main activity in Italy was working as a top stylist, but I continued to work with VIP clients as a personal stylist. This is a premium segment that provides an opportunity to touch vintage pieces from famous brands from the personal closets of the clients. As a fashion expert with extensive professional experience, I understood branded collectibles and knew the immense historical value of these exclusives. At that time, I was a member of the scientific council of the Russian Fashion Museum and made a lot of efforts to make these priceless closet items enrich the collection of this museum, as well as the exhibition collection of the Fashion House of Vyacheslav Zaitsev.
Working in Italy, I became more and more often the guest of honor of the most famous fashion houses, received invitations to the most interesting and exclusive fashion events, and the richest Italian women entrusted me with their closets.
After several awards and participation as a jury member, I became known beyond the European continent. I started to receive regular invitations to fashion weeks. I attended key fashion weeks in Paris, Milan, and New York.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I have lived in Miami for several years now. As a stylist and fashion connoisseur, I would definitely guide guests to the trendiest places for shopping and art inspiration.
This is Rodeo Drive in the Miami Design District and, of course, Brickell City Center. I recommend visiting the Wynwood Fashion District cluster, where shoppers will love the Wynwood Art District’s contemporary art and street art center, which has numerous galleries, private art collections, and graffiti.
The Wolfsonian Museum is a treasure trove of artifacts that offer a unique glimpse into American and European design history. The museum’s collection is a testament to the evolution of design from furniture and furnishings to posters and modern paintings, from model cameras, clocks, phonographs, and radios to company catalogs. You can even trace the history of Art Nouveau by country and period, with entire rooms devoted to British, Dutch, American, and Italian New Art.
The Vizcaya Museum & Gardens is a true masterpiece that transports you to Italy. The villa’s eclectic style, a blend of Italian Renaissance, classical colonial architecture, and French «beaux arts,» is a sight to behold. Art historians even consider it a separate direction, the Mediterranean revival. The facade, especially the roof, is a testament to the former owner’s love of Venetian palazzos, and the quay with the jetty evokes the grandeur of the Grand Canal.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
While collaborating with the Zaitsev Fashion House, I learned all the subtleties and nuances of the fashion industry, studied and absorbed the long experience of the famous fashion designer, and began to participate in the creation of collections. At the same time, I continued my career as a model and, with great pleasure, presented collections on the catwalk because I sewed the first samples of new models.
Active involvement in all the activities of the Fashion House and successful implementation of my ideas and projects made me the right hand of Vyacheslav Zaitsev and the official stylist of all fashion events of the Fashion House and the brand “Wild Orchid.” I became the personal stylist of many VIPs, famous bloggers, and millionaires in the Internet space, and by 2016, I became famous not only in my native country but also abroad.
I am very grateful to Vyacheslav Zaitsev for helping me develop my favorite business.
