We had the good fortune of connecting with Daryn Herzfeld and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Daryn, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
I came up with the idea for my business through a lifelong passion for alternative healing and a deep interest in the connection between gut health and skin. I pursued my passion by earning a master’s medical aesthetician license and colon therapist license and realized the profound link between a healthy gut and beautiful skin. This insight motivated me to create a business focused on ‘beauty inside and out.’ My goal is to help people heal internally and externally, emphasizing the significance of gut gut to skin connection

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets us apart are our unique services that cater to both skincare and detoxification, all conveniently available under one roof. My journey with Feel The Heal began at 21, with no prior knowledge of running a business. I’ve learned as I’ve gone along and continue to do so. Perseverance, motivation, and a passion for the industry have been my guiding lights. It hasn’t been easy, but I love the challenges and problem-solving it brings. Not being afraid to ask for help and advice has been crucial. As we move into 2024, I’m proud to announce that Feel The Heal is relocating to a new bigger unique office, and I’m thrilled for the future. It’s been 23 years of watching the evolution and growth, and it’s incredibly rewarding to help clients feel better through detoxification and improved skin health. I’m deeply grateful for what I’ve built and eagerly anticipate the coming year.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Make sure to experience the rejuvenating benefits of a colonic detox or indulge in some skin care treatments at ‘Feel the Heal.’ If you’re a wine enthusiast, ‘Lagniappe’ is my top choice. For delicious pizza, ‘Lucali’ next door is a must-visit, especially on karaoke nights. For sushi I love it at ‘Miss Krispy Rice.’ Or if you prefer lounging poolside at ‘The Standard’ or sunbathing at the beach, relaxation is everywhere. Driving to the Florida Keys is always a fun and beautiful drive. Walk through Wynwood or the Design District for a cultural and artistic experience.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
In terms of shoutouts, my recognition goes to all the providers I’ve collaborated with over the years. Such as Hydrafacial, they help me continue to make all my clients skin glow. This year, I had the privilege of becoming an ambassador for the Skin Pen microneedling device, which has been an incredibly enjoyable experience representing the brand. Additionally, I partnered with Aerolase Laser, a company that has delivered exceptional results for my clients with zero downtime. We’ve also introduced an amazing peel from Italy called BioRepeel, which is the only FDA-approved peel with no downtime. I owe my success, progress, and ability to stay current in the industry to my providers and their unwavering support. I’d also like to acknowledge my colleague, MJ. There’s nobody I’d rather multitask with her.
