We had the good fortune of connecting with Deborah Nardo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Deborah, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Being willing to take risks is one of the most important things to do as an entrepreneur. I do believe that all the greatest successes stories have an important part of risks involved. It is part of the game, if we want to be able to change, to improve and to revolutionize the world we must accept and embrace them.
At the end of the day, it really depends on how we see risks and the importance we are giving to them. If we shift our mind from the fear of risking to the excitement of overcoming them, we will definitely start loving taking risks and considering them as wonderful challenges.
A life without risks would be like an ocean without waves, very calm but not fascinating at all.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Introduction about the business:
Behspoke is a brand that imagines and produces exclusive furniture, all characterized by the combination of fine art.
We collaborate with international artists and designers to fulfil the requirements of exceptional clients, who demand unique and artistic creations for their interior projects.
Each Behspoke’s pieces is handcrafted in Europe and customizable, you can choose within a wide range of materials, fabrics, and finishes. Our customization solutions provide all the elements that you need to make your project extraordinary.
Building a meaningful brand has never been easy and will never be, however with a lot of hard-work, consistency and persistence everything can be possible.
Building Behspoke made me realize that the only person who sets boundaries and fears is ourselves, that everything must be won inside our mind first. Difficulties and things that goes wrong are pure tests and challenges, to make us growth and to become stronger for any future new challenges and new plans. Nothing can stop us from success apart our own mind.
What did I learn from being an entrepreneur?
Never consider a successful day as a forever victory, and never consider a bad day as being the end of the story.
We must remind ourselves that in case things go wrong or not as expected, we have still time to learn again, start again and recreate whatever we want as long as we keep a mindset full of positivity, confidence, gratefulness and faith.
I would like the world to remember that if we want to contribute to a better future we must take risks, break the limits and rules that society gives us, and be brave enough to make our own rules. Creativity creates freedom, it allows us to dream and to make our dreams come true. Above all, I would like to inspire people to be unashamed to be different because being different is the greatest gift we can have. Being brave enough to revolutionize what others haven’t been courageous enough to do. Taking that responsibility will fulfill you more than anything else, the journey will be hard but so much worth it.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to dedicate this shoutout to the very first artists and designers that believed in the vision of the brand, whose who decided to be part of this revolutionary concept even though we were only at the beginning of it.
