Hi Debra, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The key factors behind my success as a freelance photographer are consistency, client understanding, and prompt communication. I ensure that I consistently produce high quality work that not only meets but often exceeds client expectations. By treating my clients’ businesses as my own, I deeply understand their needs, especially in branding photography. Additionally, I prioritize timely communication, as returning calls promptly can make the difference in securing opportunities. Together, these elements have been essential in building a successful and trustworthy photography career.$

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What sets me apart is my ability to effortlessly adapt my style to suit a diverse range of subjects. Whether I’m working with entrepreneurs to craft their brand identity or shooting a simple portrait. The excitement for exploration and creativity has shaped my approach, allowing me to infuse each project with unique perspective.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Living in Delray Beach, I’m always excited to share my favorite spots with friends, starting with the stunning beach where I’ve captured countless breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. It’s the perfect setting for memorable moments. I would also take them to explore the vibrant culinary scene, particularly the fantastic restaurants along Pineapple Grove and Atlantic Avenue, where we could enjoy a delightful happy hour together. A visit to the Cornell Art Museum is a must, as it showcases an ever-changing collection of beautiful artwork, including pieces I’ve had the privilege to photograph myself. I’m incredibly proud of our town’s commitment to making art accessible to the public. Finally, no trip would be complete without experiencing the lively atmosphere at Old School Square, which often features fantastic live music events. Delray’s charm, interesting people, and rich cultural experiences truly make it a wonderful place to live

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Throughout my career as a photographer I have been incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of my husband who has played a crucial role in my journey. Additionally I am fortunate to be a part of the welcoming community of Delray Beach that has embraced me and offered valuable opportunities, which I deeply appreciate. Their encouragement has not only bolstered my confidence but has also enriched my experiences in the world of photography, making my career all the more rewarding.
