Hi Deena, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The thought process behind starting my own business was deeply influenced by my family’s entrepreneurial background. Witnessing their experiences and successes inspired me to pursue independence and autonomy in my career. After obtaining my RN degree, I had a clear vision of becoming a nurse practitioner in the aesthetic and wellness industry. Working for myself, setting my own schedule, and combining my nursing expertise with aesthetic services became my driving motivation. I gained valuable experience as an RN in various hospitals, honing my skills in wellness, and eventually pursued my master’s degree, which equipped me with the ability to diagnose illnesses and prescribe treatments. Following years of working in the aesthetics industry with another company, I took the leap and opened my own salon suite, embracing the freedom and fulfillment that comes with being an entrepreneur.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am incredibly proud of owning my own business and taking the leap to open my salon. Making the decision to leave my job as a nurse practitioner was a significant step, and in the beginning, I had only a few clients and relied on the financial support of my parents until I could stand on my own. However, I am proud to say that I have built my business primarily through referrals, which is a testament to the excellent feedback and satisfaction of my clients. Creating my own brand in the aesthetic industry and providing wellness services has been a fulfilling journey. Despite the competitive nature of the beauty and wellness industry, I am thrilled to see my business grow exponentially. I attribute this growth to the superior service I provide, my genuine care for my patients, and my commitment to answering all their questions and providing thorough explanations. Recently, I even opened my second location, which is a significant milestone in my entrepreneurial journey.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If a friend visited Florida, I would definitely take them to the Avenue in Delray Beach for a memorable long weekend. This vibrant destination offers a fantastic array of fun restaurants, lively bars, and live music venues that are brimming with life and excitement. You can spend the day lounging on the beautiful beach, and when you’re ready for lunch or dinner, you can simply stroll over to one of the many fantastic dining options. Delray Beach is a dynamic city, attracting interesting people and boasting great boutique hotels that provide a unique and comfortable stay. It’s a place where you can soak up the energetic atmosphere and create unforgettable memories with friends.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I owe a great deal of my success to the unwavering effort, support, mentorship, and love from my incredible mother. From an early age, she instilled in me the courage to take risks and pursue my dreams, including opening my own business. Her unwavering support and guidance have been instrumental in shaping my confidence and determination. Throughout my life, she has always been my biggest cheerleader, offering praise and unwavering support in everything I pursued. Without a doubt, my mother deserves all the credit and recognition for the achievements I have attained. Her belief in me has been the driving force behind my success.
