We had the good fortune of connecting with Denise Arruda and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Denise, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
I believe that taking risks as an entrepreneur is a must. Every little step to growth is a risk!
My most recent risk was rebranding my business. I just rebranded from DA Creative Studio to The Brand Mob, and for me it was a HUGE step that I needed to take.
I’ve had in mind for a couple of months already that I wanted to give a new face to my brand, as I am adding some new services that I didn’t feel my old branding represented anymore.
But with the rebranding comes the fear, “what if people don’t like it?”, “what if my existing audience doesn’t feel represented by this new brand?”, it was really important for me to realize that I was branding to target my ideal client!
That’s the power of branding, you can build it exactly as how you want your clients to feel when they see you and your brand.
I had to stop overthinking and start “underthinking”. In just one week I did my research, made my new marketing strategy, chose the new brand name and made my whole branding with a new color palette and mood-board. And it was a SUCCESS!
I couldn’t be more happy with the turn out and with my audience’s reaction to it!
This new brand represents me a whole lot more, it’s connected to my roots and it is everything that I want my clients to feel and think when they see it. The groundbreaking OG Marketing & Branding Agency that I always dreamt of building.
So, long story short, it is necessary to take risks in order to grow! It doesn’t mean that you’re “changing”, you are just evolving!
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m Denise, AKA “La Madrina”… Owner of The Brand Mob – Traditional Branding & Marketing Agency for Main Characters.
I’m a 25 years old Graphic Designer, Brand Designer, Website Developer & Traditional Marketing Strategist.
I come from generations of immigrants, with Spaniard and Italian roots. I was born in Argentina and I emigrated by myself to the US when I was only 18 years old, it’s been a rocky path but we’re building the dream! If there’s something I learned from my family and ancestors is that we are strong, we’re resilient and driven by faith. There’s nothing we can’t accomplish if we really want it and work hard for it. I already know what’s mine, I already know how my future looks like, I just have to own it.
At 20 I started studying Graphic Design, in the middle of the pandemic doing online classes. I was able to finish in way less time that I was supposed to because I was disciplined and didn’t do nothing else besides studying for two years straight, I knew what I wanted and I knew I wanted it fast. In the middle of studying graphic design, website development started calling my attention more and more, so I said let’s do it, and did both things at the same time, once I was about to finish both of those careers I started diving into Brand Identity, while researching to start my own business as a Freelancer.
That opened a whole new door full of opportunities that I was not going to miss out, and that’s how I got into branding & Marketing.
As I started my own business, while still having a full time job, I realized how hard it was to find answers as a start up, to get advice on what to do first, and honestly, I made all the wrong steps. I had 6 figures in my bank account at only 21 y/o and I lost it all… Yes, you read that right, LOST IT ALL.
In that moment I knew that was never going to happen to me again, I had to start working smarter instead of harder.
I needed to build a business where all those other entrepreneurs would find the answers they were looking for, the advice and what were the right steps to take.
It took me a while to figure this out, I was not sure what approach to take, I had to be smart about how to build a business that had such a wide niche and clientele, and promoting it hasn’t been easy.
In March of 2024 I decided to invest the last $99 that I had in my bank account, this was my last resource, I didn’t know what else to do in order to make my business grow. And what a GAME CHANGER that networking conference was for me.
I joined an amazing community of entrepreneur women who are beyond supportive, and realized that to make money you have to spend money! I learned so much just from the community alone, but I decided to keep investing on myself and my business, joined different coaching programs for Marketing, Sales, Mindset and Graphic Design.
I started my business full time on April this year, and now after just 6 months, I’ve built a successful brand that has helped over 100 business owners in between Orlando and Miami FL.
The services I offer at The Brand Mob are:
-Brand Identity
-Graphic Design

I am opening my New Client’s Waitlist at the end of October for new Branding & Website Projects, and I am always available for any printing or design orders.
The new website is coming soon with tons of surprises, but I’ll give you the exclusive:
The Brand Mob is launching 3 new memberships soon!
-The Print Cartel

-The Godmother Mafia
You’ll have to check out our website to know more about these! But believe me, these are a game changer for any business owner.
What problems do I solve for my clients? That’s easy! I turn those boring bland brands into a statement that stands out and leaves a mark. Working with me you would switch those dead leads into Sales!
Jump on a consultation call with me, get clarity about your brand and goals, we’ll make a plan of action for your business and start working towards that growth that you want.
What sets me apart of others? That I don’t follow trends, I MAKE THEM. I am tired of seeing more of the same out there!
I create statements, client magnets, not just “one more of the crowd” kind of brand.
Can you imagine a world where everyone uses the same exact black jeans and white shirt, every day for their whole life? No! Exactly, thats awful, but that’s what you’re doing to your brand! And if you feel triggered by this, I’m not sorry, we both know you need that change.
The thing I’m most proud about is to see how my business grows daily, that all those sleepless nights and tears every time something didn’t go the way I expected were worthy, now all my efforts are paying off. And this is just the beginning…
Something I want my potential clients / followers to know about me and my brand: I might look like A LOT when you first meet me, but believe me, you will grow to love me once you see how much money I can help you and your business make! I’m not everyone’s cup of tea, but I’m sure I’m most people’s shot of tequila!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My favorite place in the world is definitely the Miami Design District and Wynwood! So much to see, so many great sports for food and drinks. And most importantly, So much ART! I love it!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
