We had the good fortune of connecting with Deniz Kilic and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Deniz, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
I appreciate balance a lot more now in my 30’s. When I was younger, I pushed myself to the point of exhaustion, thinking that it was the only way to be successful or good at my profession. All it did was wear me down to the point of mental and physical exhaustion. I realized that working a 9-5 job was not for me, and that I needed to work smarter, not harder. That’s when I started my Astrology business and dove into all things Real Estate related with a Holistic twist! I love the freedom of making my own schedule, and being able to network and connect with others. At the same time, I also have to balance my schedule with the care of my Father, who was recently diagnosed with Dementia. Because I’m his primary care-taker, I travel back and fourth to New York at least once a month. This is where balance becomes key, learning not to give too much of yourself in either area. Being able to conduct business virtually has definitely made my work/like balance a lot easier.

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets me apart in my Real Estate business is that I infuse wellness into all my client relationships and transactions.

By taking a holistic approach, I thoughtfully guide my clients and take the well-being of the whole person into account while building meaningful relationships.

It’s not a transaction I’m after; it’s a deep, personal connection to those that I work with.

In addition to being a Realtor, I love introducing Astrology to my clients. This connection helps me gain a greater understanding of their needs and what aligns with them energetically. Purchasing a home in this current market is challenging, and this helps greatly with the process. I want my clients to know that I care deeply about their needs, and want to genuinely help them through whatever hardships they are facing. I will always fight for my clients and the right thing.

With regards to owning your own business, there will always be bumps in the road. How you handle these bumps is what matters the most. Life will always throw you a curveball (especially when you think things are going perfectly). We can’t control what happens to us, but we can control our reactions and can come up with helpful solutions. Owning a business always has it ups and downs. Personally that’s what I love the most about owning my own business. It’s always evolving which makes it exciting. What gets me through the challenges, is my inner strength, and being there for my Father. I know he is proud of everything I’ve accomplished.

My brand is all about the human connection and self-awareness. Through connecting to yourself and the people you love, you learn so much about who you are and what aligns for you. We all have the answers within, it’s just about trusting yourself and your path.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The restaurants and vibes on Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach. Always guaranteed a great time! I would take my friend to a few of my favorite spots on the Ave:

1. Elizabettas. Their food is always delicious, and they make the best Strawberry Basil Martinis!
2. El Camino. By far my favorite Mexican spot! Food is always on point and they make the best Watermelon Jalapeño Margaritas.
3. The Delray Beach Market is always a fun time! I would take my friend there to try the different food markets and grab coffee from my favorite spot – The Modern Rose.
4. Silverball Pinball Museum – Fun time with retro pinball machines and my favorite – skeeball.
5. Morikami Gardens for Zen vibes.

I would also take my friend to the Hardrock in Hollywood for a little gambling, good restaurants and a show.

Brickell, Miami for the lively night scene.

And finally, a road trip to St. Augustine. Being the oldest town in the U.S, it’s always a magical time there.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Barbara Ruzzene: She is an expert Astrologer and has been practicing for over 30 years. She is my mentor, and I have learned so much from her!

Team 22 Realty: I want to say thank you to my team who believes in me everyday! Without them, I wouldn’t have all the knowledge and tools needed in this crazy Real Estate market. I love you guys! Not only are they my co-workers but they are like family to me!

I would also like to mention a few books that have inspired me along my journey:

1. How to Win friends and Influence People – Dale Carnegie
