We had the good fortune of connecting with Destin Troyce and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Destin, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Remembering where I came from and realizing that I never want to go back to extreme poverty

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My brand TROYCETV was started by me when i was 15 years old , I started with the intention of being discovered and making my dreams come true. My ultimate goal was to be a well-established entertainer in Los Angeles, but I don’t come from money or nepotism, so I had to build everything from scratch. It was insanely hard .but it was well worth it.

I overcame the challenges of living in a psychologically and verbally abusive home while trying to build my brand as a teen. The growth came from blood, sweat , tears and dealing with a jealous and evil older sister who is ten years older than me ,destroying my phone and stealing my film equipment. My mother never did anything because she was caught up with her trauma and felt terrible that my sister hadn’t amounted to anything. My mother was adding fuel to the fire with the constant comparisons between all her kids and talking crap about them to each other.

I want the world to know that I am proud to come from poverty ,narcissistic abuse ,an absent and abusive father, a piss poor background because it is the manure that has helped me blossom into who I’m meant to be. Childhood trauma shaped me into the powerful ,courageous ,passionate and wise person I am today . I wouldn’t change anything because it prepared me for stardom and the entertainment industry .

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m from Miami, but I live in Los Angeles, California, and there is something for everyone in both cities. My recommendation for Miami is to go to a restaurant called Pollo tropical, I used to work there, and it’s a major south Florida staple; I always recommend people go to the museum of illusions, boomers if you into arcade game , check out fort Lauderdale beach because south beach is dusty and over crowded (in my opinion) , eat at bacon bitch in south beach ,check out the Wynwood arts district for classy clubs and fun bars and lastly check out Trick daddy’s restaurant Sundays eatery (be ready for the long line though)

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My older brother Jeff; Jeff encouraged me to edit my videos when I first started and was the only person close to me who cheered me on when I began my journey.
