We had the good fortune of connecting with Devarria Tillis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Devarria, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always wanted to work for myself so my thought process behind starting my business was to create a business that I would always enjoy doing, something that wouldn’t feel like work and a business that I can expand/grow with.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets Deva’s Berries apart from others is my love for outstanding customer service, I love to go above and beyond to satisfy and please every customer who decides to spend their hard earned money with me. I take customer satisfaction very serious, i genuinely love what I do and the best thing about genuinely loving your craft is that your not just in it for the money you’re in it to make happy customers and at the end of it all your service/reputation will always stick with a customer forever. I’m most excited about all of the new levels that I can take Deva’s Berries to, I’m excited because I know the future of Deva’s Berries will be a great one! Getting to where I am today took a lot of persistence, with any small business it takes drive and dedication but you truly have to have 20/20 vision for your dream. I’ve been put in many situations where giving up was on my mind but I’ll always remember my “WHY” and what got me started back in 2017! I want the world to know that Deva’s Berries is just the start of what I want it to be at the moment I have a bigger plan in store for my craft!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would definitely take them to The Taco Stand Miami for great tacos and churros! Then spend sometime with them at The Berry Farms in the Redlands picking beautiful sunflowers then I would take them to Shooters Waterfront for a nice vibe, great drinks and delicious food by the water.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would love to take this opportunity to shoutout Devontaii “Vontaii” Tillis an Upcoming R&B artist and Fashion model who I’ve watched grow tremendously overtime! He started at the age of 14 producing his own tracks and writing his own music. I am very proud to see him come this far on his own and I know he has more great things in store. He deserves so much credit and recognition for his hard work, talent and drive!
