We had the good fortune of connecting with Diandra Harvin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Diandra, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to create something that I felt there was a need for and that would also serve a meaningful purpose. During the pandemic, I needed something comfortable and functional but cute to wear since I was a newlywed. After working long hours, I needed something to help with decompressing for the day. The idea of luxury loungewear is the answer for elevated self-care. It’s the perfect garment to wear around the house and feel good while you’re in it. There has been a lot of focus on the importance of self-care and being a part of that industry made sense because people invest in it.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Noite Rose is a Black woman-owned luxury loungewear brand launched in 2021. It’s the answer for those who want opulent, relaxed pieces at affordable prices. The brand focuses on comfort infused with romance for the modern-day woman who values self-care. Noite Rose includes dresses, rompers and sets, starting at $80 offered in sizes XSmall–2XL made from fabrics that feel like butter on the skin. Starting a business during quarantine was tough with supply chain issues and manufacturer closing down, but being disciplined and committed to my goal helped me to persevere. We just showcased in Nordstrom! This was such an exciting opportunity because it put us right in front of our target customers.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We love adventures so I would start by hopping on social media to see what cool events were going on. Water activities such as parasailing would be on the list for a thrill and followed by getting brunch at Big Pink! Wynwood is always on my list because the art is inspiring and there are always great vibes, music and food at nearby bars.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Jessica Williams with The FashionpreneurAcademy! I joined their 90 day intensive course to learn the ins and outs of developing and starting a fashion company. Her course was the perfect tool to turn my idea into a product. Jessica also serves as a mentor to me and she provides great insight into this industry that she’s had major success in. Academy!
