Meet Diego Morales | Wedding Photographer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Diego Morales and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Diego, what’s something about your industry that outsiders are probably unaware of?
People who are not actively involved in the day-to-day chaos of the wedding industry are probably unaware of the extent their vendors go through behind closed doors, and may overlook how important our services actually are. I believe many couples don’t realize that photographers are the only vendor that spends the most time with them on their wedding day. We see every moment, every detail, and try our best to capture it all while paying attention to timeline and the couple’s needs and wants. Meeting the couple beforehand and making sure they feel confident in me is one of the most important parts of my business, because comfortability always shows in the photos.

What should our readers know about your business?
My photography business is my pride and joy. I thrive on a wedding day when I am capturing the looks on family member’s faces, and all the special moments for the couple to remember their big day. As this industry is over-saturated with many other talents, I feel what sets me apart is my unique passion and determination to make the photography portion of wedding planning run as smoothly and effortless as possible, while delivering the most timeless, authentic gallery. In addition to this, I feel my personality really sets me apart from others, as I am extremely helpful, resourceful, and have a unique talent at making others feel comfortable in front of a camera, as I am ironically camera shy!
My business has grown exponentially over the past few years. I have continously met goals that I set for myself every couple months, and continue to strive for bigger and better oppurtunities for excellence! This is not an easy process, as I spend countless hours working on perfecting my craft, sometimes sacrificing a perfect work/life balance.
I would love the world to know about me and my passion for photography. I feel I was made for this career path, and I will continue to grow and change for the better. Every mistake is an opportunity to learn and grow, and every win is just one more couple smiling.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting Miami and Palm Beach for a week, I’d craft the perfect mix of luxury, culture, and beachside relaxation.
Day 1-2 (Miami): We’d start in Key Biscayne, soaking up the sun at Crandon Beach before having lunch at CRAFT. Afternoon shopping in Merrick Park, and then have sunset drinks at The Mayfair Rooftop at the SipSip. We would end the day having a late dinner at Hillstone. The next day, we’d continue exploring Coral Gables, grab sushi for lunch at Osaka, stop at Panther Coffee for a quick pick me up, then hit the Perez Art Museum for a nice afternoon artsy experience.
Day 3-4 (Miami to Palm Beach): We’d grab breakfast at Crema, then a scenic drive up to Palm Beach. We’d check into The Breakers, enjoy a spa day, and dine at the Seafood Bar.
Day 5-7 (Palm Beach): We’d spend the next few days between Worth Ave shopping, sunbathing at Palm Beach Municipal Beach, and sipping cocktails at HMF. A day trip to The Norton Museum of Art, followed by dinner at the Flagler Steakhouse, would be a must.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many individuals that I have met along the way that have supported me and mentored me in many different ways, so it would be almost impossible to choose one person. My family and friends have been my support system since the beginning, even before my business started. I had cousins who were willing to be my models so I can practice, and other photographers who gave me tips and tricks with editing and social media. I have so much appreciation for all those who have supported me in any way, and who have given me advice and guidance.
