We had the good fortune of connecting with Dominique Foster Burke and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dominique, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to provide an extra and dramatizing affect to getting dressed. You know that feeling when you get something new and you just can’t wait to wear it? You have to make sure someone saw you in it or you took the nicest picture just to post on your social media!

I wanted to be that go to person to add that last touch to the perfect outfit to complete that confident feeling. With that being said I tried to come up with the most exclusive and extraordinary accessories to compliment anyone.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I have learned some very big and hard lessons from when I first started this business. Before I would create these ideas for bags have a prototype and no guardianship over my ideas and they would end up being mass produced and I couldn’t say or do a thing about it.

It was tough creating the rights and manufacture of an item it’s extremely costly but definitely doable.

I became much smarter now and get paid off anyone or company that decides to mimic any product I create from here on out.

This brand will make it worldwide because I have so much in store that’s just merely unbelievable. The tangible definition of not giving up will be this business! I have so much to show the world!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Mother ,Husband and Best Friends honestly, They deserve all the praise, they would help with ideas, packaging and shipment , attend events with me. Show up for me and just be there every single time I said I quit. A lot of tears they wiped for me, ton of encouragement and opportunities they put me in. I’m forever grateful. Thank you guys.
