Hi Don, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Off-Stitch began as Super Soles in 2013 when I was just 12 years old, but while the name has changed, the mission remains the same. Off-Stitch exists to innovate and play a vital role in the ever-evolving fashion industry. As a proud American, I’m dedicated to giving back to my country in meaningful ways—by creating local manufacturing jobs in South Florida, committing to sustainability to help keep God’s green earth thriving, and offering affordable premium goods so that quality fashion is accessible to everyone. Off-Stitch isn’t just a brand—it’s a movement that redefines fashion with every stitch, empowering you to wear your confidence boldly.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Off-Stitch is more than just a fashion brand—it’s a vision driven by ethical production, local manufacturing, and sustainability. We create premium, accessible fashion that looks good and feels good, knowing it’s made responsibly. My journey began at 12, fueled by a passion for fashion and a dream to make a mark in the industry. Despite the challenges, I stayed focused and persistent, overcoming obstacles along the way. Off-Stitch isn’t just about clothing; it’s about making a difference, empowering people to wear their confidence boldly while positively impacting our community and the environment.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I were to plan a week in Miami for my “best friend,” I’d start by catching a Miami Heat game during the season—nothing beats the excitement and energy of a live game. Afterward, we’d intentionally skip eating so we could head over to Steve’s Pizza on Biscayne Boulevard for some delicious slices and root beer. The following day, we’d dive into shopping at the Miami Design District, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere and exploring the trendiest stores. To cap off our week, we’d hit South Beach to toss a football around and enjoy the iconic Miami vibe. That’s the plan for a perfect week in Miami.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a heartfelt shoutout to my parents, who have always been there for me, no matter what. They celebrate with me during the good times and guide me through the tough ones, and for that, I will always be grateful. My success wouldn’t have been possible without their constant encouragement to work hard and chase my dreams. While many doubted my abilities, I chose to go beyond the grind for my dreams, all thanks to them. My dad’s greatest advice—”My next accomplishment is my greatest accomplishment”—is something I’ll always carry with me. Mom and Dad, if you’re reading this, I want everyone to know how much I love you and how thankful I am for everything you’ve done for me.
