We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Kristin Kidgell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Kristin, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
how do you think about risk?… I think Risk is what’s needed for change, improvement, development, success, wealth, and happiness. Risk is typically when you are going against the norm, pushing your personal limits or following your dreams even when no one else understands why you want such things. Risk to me may not be Risk to you. If I didn’t risk following my dreams I wouldn’t have the opportunity to help so many people over the last 24 years. Mentoring people, especially women, has been very rewarding as a career but also for my soul. If I didn’t take risks in my life I wouldn’t get to reap the rewards and live a fulfilling life.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What sets me apart is my love for growth and not settling. I like to go by the term an Elite Body Mechanic these days. Chiropractic as a term and my doctorate degree put me in a box that I do not enjoy because I have spent years adding to my “toolbox” to help people. I specialized in many other techniques outside the spine and extremities. I specialized in specific injuries and sports body mechanics. I have specialized in The Emotion Code, Kinesiology, Nutritional testing and advice. I have created Kinesiotaping HOW-TO videos. I wrote a book about CBD oil, and I am almost done with my second book. I have also mentored women during times in their lives when major change is needed. I have spent over 5 yrs learning how to trade the US stock market and futures and now I mentor new traders, especially doctors wanting to protect and grow their money. Growth, expansion, and personal development aren’t easy so you just have to decide to do it and be ALL IN and then learn from others. Hire a coach and get rid of friends that are not on the same path and may be holding you back. All this requires belief in yourself and your dreams along with taking risks, so get comfortable with that
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Sunrise over Tampa Bay from the St Peterburg side over the water with dolphins and manatees. BIke riding and eating n great bars and places all around downtown St Pete. Then go to dinner at Urban Stillhouse after the sunset on Sunset Beach.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My mother (Dellor Grant, all my sports coaches and teammates growing up, Life Chiropractic College, Jerremy Alexander Newsome and his staff at Real Life Trading, Lisa Lynn Reich, The Miracle Morning, Outwitting the Devil, The Code of the Extraordinary Life, and You Are A Badass.
