Meet Dr. Patrick Lolo | Pediatric Dentist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dr. Patrick Lolo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Dr. Patrick, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Starting my own business was driven by a deep commitment to giving back to my community. Before opening my own practice, I worked in a hospital setting where I cared for patients who were already well-represented in the healthcare system. I felt a strong calling to focus my dental practice on underserved children—those who often lack access to providers who understand their backgrounds and reflect their identities. My goal has always been to offer compassionate, culturally competent care to those who need it most.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart is the passion I bring to my work, both inside and outside the dental office. I believe dentistry doesn’t have to be intimidating, especially for children. That’s why I love creating fun, engaging, and educational content on platforms like TikTok and Instagram. These reels give me a way to connect with patients on a personal level and bring some light-heartedness into an environment that often causes fear or anxiety. Making dentistry approachable and enjoyable is something I take pride in.
Beyond the office, I’m deeply committed to giving back. I regularly participate in mission trips to underserved communities, where I provide free dental care to children who might not otherwise have access. Most recently, I traveled to the island of Andros in the Bahamas with a team of four doctors and fifteen student doctors. Together, we treated over 350 children. Experiences like these are humbling and remind me why I chose this path in the first place.
The journey to get here wasn’t easy. It took countless late nights, intense discipline, and many sacrifices. I missed out on events and milestones with friends and family just to stay focused. I can still remember the all-nighters, running on barely one or two hours of sleep during exam weeks. But I believe with faith, hard work, and God on your side, anything is possible.
One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned is that nothing worth having comes easy. Staying disciplined often means losing friends and watching your circle shrink—but the reward is growth and purpose.
At the core of everything I do is a desire to make a difference. It’s never been about the money. I want to be known for the impact I leave on the next generation, especially underserved youth. Every child, regardless of background or insurance, deserves quality care. That mission will always be my driving force.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For an unforgettable week in South Florida, start with a round of golf at any stunning courses, where you can enjoy the beautiful weather and unwind. After your game, head to the clubhouse for a refreshing drink and a delicious meal, soaking in the camaraderie of fellow golfers.
Next, explore Little Haiti, a vibrant cultural hub that feels like home. Savor authentic Haitian cuisine, and immerse yourself in the art and music scene at the Haitian Heritage Museum.
Lastly, spend afternoons at the beach, relaxing or engaging in water sports, followed by sunset cocktails at a beach bar. This itinerary blends relaxation, culture, and fun, ensuring your friend experiences the best of South Florida!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would love to dedicate my shoutout, first and foremost, to my mother, a remarkably strong and determined Haitian woman. Her courage and resilience are the very foundation of everything I am today. In 2001, she made the life-altering decision to leave behind everything she knew in Haiti and start over in the United States, with nothing but faith in her heart and three children by her side. That level of sacrifice, that kind of love, is immeasurable. Without her strength, I would never have had the chance to dream of, let alone pursue, a career as a dentist. She gave us a new beginning, and I carry her bravery with me in everything I do.
I also want to extend my deepest gratitude to my three incredible sisters — Deborah, Patricia, and Cedrine. Each of you has played such a beautiful role in my journey. Your love, guidance, and constant encouragement have lifted me through every challenge. You’ve helped shape the person I’ve become, and I’m endlessly thankful for that.
And to my amazing girlfriend, Angelique — thank you for being my rock. Your unwavering support, patience, and motivation have fueled me during the hardest moments and reminded me why I started this journey in the first place. Your belief in me means more than words can express.
To all of you, thank you for believing in me when I needed it most. This journey is not mine alone; it belongs to us all.
