We had the good fortune of connecting with DRCR and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi DRCR, what is the most important factor behind your success?
One hundred percent it’s definitely (my friends) the people I work with. The fact that I work alongside the people I love most in the world, a family I choose makes me work harder and care about more not only about the end result, but the process and takeaways of every experience I bring them into. I trust them and need them wayyy more than they do me.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I think when I was very young in my career- around 16,17 I realized something. I would love to sit and watch all these travel bloggers go to Bali and Hawaii to shoot content back in the early days of influencer marketing and the current social media landscape. I remember wanting to be like Jay Alvarez and Sam Kolder more than anything, but when I got the opportunity to take that first step it wasn’t for me. I learned something important about myself; I am not the most technical filmmaker, I’m not the best cinematographer, I’m not the most technical and will never have that natural talent for those aspects of this art-form. What sets me apart? I make home movies, I started making vlogs in 2017 because I was going off to college and wanted to be able to show my kids my experience. I didn’t wanna be limited by a pictures and stories I begin to forget as I grow old; I wanted to remake those childhood clips of Christmas and birthdays. What makes me special is that I can use all of this gear or a tape camera from the 90’s to make you feel something. I traffic in emotion, not cameras, lenses, codecs or any of that technical shit. I make stories that make people feel something. That’s more powerful and more valuable than anything.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Dude we have to check out all of Wynwood, Doral, Miami Beach and Key Biscayne. Food, adventure, nature and maybe a few parties nunca sobran!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My parents, they for sure are a lot of the reason behind who I am and any amount of success I amount to. Seeing my dad have his own creative business was such an inspiration to me when it came to industry, work ethic, relationships and so much more. I also wanna quickly shoutout Ms. Spencer and Mr. Taggart over at ILS for giving me a chance, their time and access to resources I had never had at a time in my life where having those things allowed me to continue working hard and dreaming without limits. Lastly to my friends always, I started this business with friends, it works because of my friends and I know that those names will not only never be forgotten, but may someday be known by the whole world!
