We had the good fortune of connecting with Dulce Trujillo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dulce, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Being really free, proving that it would be possible for me to change the corporate dream for the business dream and really measure what I would be capable of. Since I was a child I always questioned everything, my questions were constant madness and if they didn’t convince me I wasn’t going to accept an idea just for the sake of it. I never saw my father or my mother work for any boss, I only saw that they worked a lot in their sportswear factory and they all used to help, so I understood by observing, that I wanted to be the owner of my route and, although I tried from a very young age corporate life in an amazing entertainment company, I learned very quickly, what I didn’t want and decided to write a new way of doing business, in a place where there are exciting and challenging goals, where you design in your head and then see it reflected in unique and unforgettable events.

What should our readers know about your business?
My country inspires me a lot because living it is crazy, everything is informal, there are always risks, nothing is said or certain. In Mexico City. From day to night you can have lived thousands of radically different experiences, you never finish it, it’s magical, there is always a new restaurant, museum, park, store, everything changes and it’s fascinating that you never completely dominate this monster. All of that, inspired me to create a new way of creating entertainment businesses in the RED Explorer style and that little by little became a boutique consultancy specialized in event production services for corporates with experts capable of designing the most memorable experiences related to travel, culture, entertainment, lifestyle and health, in order to highlight the most exciting of our world and especially our fascinating Mexico.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am going to focus on Mexico City because I was born here and I love it: 1.- I love having lunch or dinner at Rojo Bistrot in Col Condesa. I have been visiting this beautiful French bistro for 20 years, here, I have had the best talks of my life and they have the most addictive garlic bread dip.
2.- Go to Chapultepec in all its forms, if you think it is a small park to do only one thing, no! This park shelters thousands of activities, museums and secrets. It is 10 times bigger than Central Park and every time I go I have a very different experience. I suggest going for a picnic in the garden of the Museum of Modern Art.
3- Go through the various neighborhoods of the city and find its best secrets: Each neighborhood has its flavor and differences, depending on the mood you bring, Condesa, Roma, Coyoacan, Tlalpan, San Pedro de los Pinos, La Juarez, Polanco, Historic Center … You Will never finish the city, just choose one and give yourself to it. My Favorite: Parque México en La Condesa. I lived there for 17 years and I never get tired of it.
4.- Go to the Caro Juice Shop: is on the corner of Av. Insurgentes and Av. Sonora in La Condesa. There is no more delicious and cheaper beverages than this.
5.- Go for tacos to the Huequito. There are several branches. Ask for the Pastor Volcano.
6.- My favorite Mexican cuisine restaurant is Montecristo http://www.rmontecristo.com/
7.- Choose a show: CDMX has literally thousands of forums where you can be entertained from Stand up, Burlesque, Theater, Music, Shows. My favorites: The Museum of Popular Art, Fine Arts, The Cultural Center of the Forest, The National Cinematheque and the bars with a mini forum,
8.- Have Chilaquiles for breakfast.
9.- Dance in the Los Angeles Hall. It’s bizarre but unforgettable
10.- The last Wednesday of each month is the museum night and things get good.
Oh, and don’t forget to stop by my culinary studio www.Mexicología.mx “Mi Casa es su Casa”

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have 4 pillars: 1.- The failure: I started to fail big very young, so I learned very quickly that I had nothing to lose and that the wings begin to be buidt right after you throw yourself off the cliff.
2.- The Books: These “boys” gave me all the wisdom that I did not find at school or in my environment. One that I still have close to me in difficult moments is Carlos Castaneda’s The Wheel of Time. A book of warrior spirits that gave me wisdom, temperance and magic.
3.- Enroll in the university of life. I was fortunate to enroll in a Marketing degree at one of the most expensive universities in Mexico and there I learned that it was not enough, that I did not have many to admire, that it was a factory of employees and breaking with the status quo I left there and just like that, I started the real learning, I traveled a lot and only studied what I was most passionate about. That gave me my true wings.
4.- Strange beings: All the strangers who passed through my life and gave me different lessons from what was established, people who lived life from other angles. I was always radical in my choice of friends, I always followed
beings that could not be defined and gave me the fuel to polish my critical thinking.
