Meet Dwight Thomas | Private Investigator and Business

We had the good fortune of connecting with Dwight Thomas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Dwight, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?

Giving over half of my life to one field was the thought process for me. Having so much gained experience and working a certain type of way than your peers and coworkers, it kind of reflects on your energy.

The company you’re working for always looks amazing while you represent them as a number.

My name has always meant something whenever I entered a room in my profession. I want people to know who they’re getting and I still stand behind that name just placing LLL behind it.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?

Being a business owner in Florida is great. Being a Private Investigator in Florida is even better, especially Miami where some of the things highlighted here is Fraud and Crime. It’s no coincidence why people visit Miami and leave on probation.

Being a P.I allows more experience than the normal Security sector so I started to focus on that with being a Consultant.

Soon I will be adding Public Notary and Process Server to my services. Just an extra incentive of working with me as your consultant.
Anything that is worth something isn’t easy, it will be hard. You must stay consistent, take it day by day and keep a positive attitude. I’m at an age where I am not old nor am I young so what sets me apart is my experience in the field, my creativity, open mindedness and youth spirits that gets the job done.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

This is a interesting question considering I am a homebody lol. Ok let’s see?! A week. I think it depends on the person, but they will have to do what I want to do but enough for them also to have fun as well.

Miami life….
Monday- Most likely if they’re not too tired from the travel and ready to turn up, we would hit up a bar on Miami Beach that’s where you have the script and restaurants. Plenty to do while catching up.

Tuesday- That’s  Poetry and Spoken word night. A great laid back event for a Tuesday.

Wednesday- Brunch in Ft. Lauderdale literally anywhere. The environment is great. Anytime and day of the week with great weather..

Thursday- That’s a chill day we’re not doing much just hanging out.

Friday- The start of the weekend, we’re at Hardrock Hollywood. Great environment and so much to do. Grab drinks, hit a lounge or club and do some gambling.

Saturday- We’re headed to Davie they have a great Comedy Club the Improv. Since we’re in Miami all Comedians want to come check us out because of the environment, Davie is great because there are restaurants, bars, gaming, shops and bowling.

Sunday: That’s football day Go Dolphins. We’re in Miami right? That’s whine down day. We are relaxing.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?

I never thought of myself as an Entrepreneur or Business owner. Honestly the comfort of receiving a guaranteed biweekly check was enough for me, all I had to do was show up.

My life took a dramatic turn which forced me to steer in a different direction. A good friend of mine placed a book that ultimately change my life, my view of money and my mentality. That book is called Rich Dad Poor Dad. Like many entrepreneurs that have read that book and gained a different energy was no different for me.
