Meet East Beatz | Musical Artist and Producer

We had the good fortune of connecting with East Beatz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi East, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
My mission is to introduce my music to everyone with the same intensity of other popular musical artists, like YungHashtag who has tragically passed away. I want to have a positive, constructive message that will move people. I have always been a lover of art, music, technology, and the color orange. While studying computer science discovered my love for music influenced by heat makers , just blaze Kanye west, Pharrell , Timbaland , Jermaine Dupree. Mylove for music and thirst for knowledge allowed me to not only enhance my artistic skills, but also to make a lot of great connections in the music industry.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Stefan “Mr. Ea$t” Laughman was born in Queens, New York in a Jamaican-American household. As a child, Mr. Ea$t has always been a lover of art, music, technology, and the color orange. While studying computer science discovered his love for music influenced by heat makers , just blaze Kanye west, Pharrell , timbaland , jermain Dupree . He build his computer and began to produce on his computer with his first copy of Fruity Loops Studio 3.0, making beats for his class mates and others soon landed him and opportunity to move to Atlanta to produce for a up and coming singer at the time Uni sky. Mr Ea$t’s love for music and thirst for knowledge brought him to studied at Omni Tech University, which allowed him to not only enhance his artistic skills, but also to make a lot of great connections in the music industry. Mr. Ea$t is not only a Producer, but he is also very skilled in sound designer, clothing designer, graphic designer, and Industry IT support. Currently, Mr. Ea$t lives in Los Angeles and is taking his passion to newer heights, exploring fashion and a new personal music sound, which has allowed him to release several records that are not only produced by him, but also features him as the lead music artist. Recently he has released a single named Alien OG and is dropping his own cannabis strain by the same name. Also releasing other records produced and featuring himself along side such southern legends like Kingpin Skinny Pimp , also emerging legends like Scotty Atl. Blending all of his unique sound ideas and perspective on music fashion and technology. If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Honestly there are so many places to go, that I like to make the experiences customized. However, my ideal itenary would be to go to Santa Monica beach and sit and enjoy the weather. After that, we would go to Fat Burger for their Impossible Burger and Fries and then at night take in some of the local musicians and attractions, there are so many that we would be able to find something that would fit anyone’s tastes.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Recently I was managing an artist, Yung Hashtag, who has since passed away. My time with him made me realize that what I do can touch lives and I want to make sure that’s what I am doing. I also am influenced by anyone that has a new and interesting sound, be it music or art. I like individuals that allow the art to flow through them. I find that approach allows you to connect with your audience.
