Meet Eddy “BACHACO” Morillo | Singer/Songwriter & Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Eddy “BACHACO” Morillo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Eddy “BACHACO”, what inspires you?
Nature and Passion are two things that inspire me in life.
On one side there is nature the awesome power and majesty of nature give me a sense of how big the universe is and how little we are, it’s humbling, it brings me back to reality and let’s me appreciate what’s reality important, life itself and love and family which are the most basic things in life. Nature has the power to evolve flawlessly “through the cracks” even where you least expect it it can be as delicate and peaceful as a beautiful flower or as fierce as a strong thunderstorm.
On the other hand there is passion. One thing is having life and another thing is its purpose! I believe passion inspires me because it’s closely related with our sense of purpose. The passion people can put into things to make them come true or become a reality inspires me because it gives me hope that there is more to life than just breathing, we can conquer our wildest thoughts and as a human race accomplish great things or even individually accomplish great dreams if we just do it with passion.
Those are the 2 things that inspire me the most in my life and career and allow me to feel a more complete human: being one with nature and the universe and living a passion driven life.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My music is my art, my way of expression, my freedom, it’s the way I communicate thoughts and feelings to the world through sound waves and colors. I like to use sounds and rhythms like a painter uses paint. Silence is the blank canvas I like to use and I normally start “preparing the canvas” with improvised humming sounds or lyrics until I let the “Vibe flow” in its own direction kind of like a river flowing and growing into its full force.
I think what sets me apart from other artists is that I’m not a musical prodigy like most “by the book” type of musicians. I’m mostly a song-writer and not an actual musician and don’t follow rigid processes or theories when it comes to creating, my main “forté” is writing catchy-fun, love related or social issues lyrics all mixed up in Latin Sounds + Reggae and Tropical Vibes.
Working hard and being determined got me from wanting to do this to actually traveling with my music for at least 10 years to over 300+ shows in the USA and also shows in Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica and Canada. It wasn’t easy and I did it with very little financial resources, to overcome the challenge I had to be creative and a lot of the people being part of the project “pitched-in” when it came to donating their time and those runs were great.
Now things are done more professionally and I highly value myself and my art as well as my business ideas. I have learned my worth and don’t give myself out so “easily” to the performing arts market, I’m mostly focused on creating content for my fans and creating value for my brand right this moment.
I want the world to visit www.BachacoMusic.com and get ready to experience and orgasmic mix of sounds for each of my current and upcoming releases!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Welcome to Miami! Beach is #1, any beach is fine. Fun day on the water out on a boat, bbqs for those options, visit one of each Latin American countries’ restaurants which we have them all in Miami! Drinks at any local bar, hopefully with live music, and food truck visits in Wynwood would be definitely a must. Other than that I would take anyone out to the Everglades for alligator watching or kayaking, bike stroll through the beach, anything that would be different from their normal routine and that we have access to year round would make a Miami visit special. Even a pool day in our beautiful weather! We also have amazing access to theme parks and different resorts and restaurants, the list is too long to name a business in particular.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
This shoutout goes to my producer Agustin Espina for being a great mentor and asset to my musical career at this age where I’m mostly interested in quality vs quantity. He’s an example of dedication and passion to music and role model for many musicians’ careers.
