We had the good fortune of connecting with Elizabeth Valle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elizabeth, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Be able to express my own ideas, to build something for us not for someone else, be able to have flexibility on my schedule to have time with my family and friends. When you think about how much effort you put on someone else dream because you get paid per hour and at the end of the day they let you go when they don’t need you anymore it is frustrated or when you get old and you can’t work anymore so you can’t get pay because you did not build anything to hold you up when is time for you to rest. I’m not saying having a business is easier because it is nothing close to easy but the key is not how fast you go as long as you don’t stop moving.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We started knowing almost nothing about business, the pre- owner, was not the most honest person and lied about having set up a list of establish clients. All the equipment was damaged most of it and a lot of people told us that we have made a mistake doing what we are doing because no body was going there anymore. So even when we were scare and not knowing what to do we paint, we put out all trash and start over, we got our fist call and first customers and little by little our small business started to pick up and we are still struggling but we are still fighting to make it work. The lessons we have learn is to do more research before buying a business, make a really good inventory of all assets you are buying and see if the worth the money, have positive thoughts! And try to take any bad energy that doesn’t like you to prosper out of your life, with prayers and faith. We are a brand like you , regular people trying to find their way home, always with a smile and happy to have you with us, supporting us! Your presence for us means we did something good!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Black Point is one of my favorite places! It has food, views, the ocean, and drinks ! also Tea Room at Cauley square. We love that plaza, it’s full of nature and so many things to do, and of course our Spa! you can feel  the positive environment once you walk in. It is perfect when you  want to do something different for you or for someone else.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My husband and best friend said yes to this journey and became part of the team! My mom is always helping me in everything we need and last but not least my baby, my son who inspires me everyday. A big shout out to all the women trying their best to have a business, same time you having a family, have a baby and have people telling them all thinks they should do but not offering help, a shout out to those who are hanging there not giving up and little by little you will see the harvest of your sowing. For someone reading this, you can do everything, don’t pay attention to people ‘s insecurities, the only limitations you will have are the ones you will create, so don’t listen to people with limited mindset.
