Meet Elliot Durant | Alkaline and ultra pure drinking water store Co-owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Elliot Durant and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Elliot, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The thought process behind starting Pure Water Factory in Miami was due to there being no other water stores anywhere. We saw an opportunity to fill a necessary need that was untapped in this area. We feel that pure and clean watyer is not a privilege but a right. I was here last summer and after an extensive workout I could find no place to fill my reusable water bottle. I do not want to drink from pre packaged water bottles as they will contain micro plastics over a short period of time and to reduce global pollution. I have a passion for health and humanity and it starts with clean water. The body can only survive without water for 72 hours generally and the human body is made up of 72% water and our organss are in about 80% of water. In closing, if we think of our bodies as a high performance vehicle. You would only put the highest octane fuel in the tank ; so, why not do the same to most important high performance vehicle that we use every day……Ourselves

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
This is a story of constantly recreating oneself always seeking to improve and make an impact in society. I was in show business for almost four decades. When the pandemic hit my industry shut down and I had to find a way to recreate myself once again. I found a need for pure drinking water in Miami and decided to learn about a new industry and make myself a business professional. Can’t,won’t,don’t, fear are all words that create an aura of negativity and I believe that there is always positivity and a rainbow just on the otherside. This has been an extremely difficult task to undrego. This vision also came with a cost other than the financial as I had to leave my family in California while we create this Pure Water Factory brand. Nothing great can be constructed without some sacrifice. I believe that where there is no great risk there can be no great gains. I am 60 years young and believe that there is no time in life that you cannot recreate yourself. With that said, I am an advocate for healthy lifestyle and fitness and pure water was the natural fit. This is the third act of life as I see it and it should be the best no matter what. Adversity can be a stimulant that many can use to rise above and seek new rewards in life. Pure Water Factory was created from our passion to find something that we could flourish from and give us the ability to give back to society. We hope to build a brand here in Miami that when people think of the best drinking water available; they automatically say “Pure Water Factory”

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Coincidentally, my family is visiting presently for the first time and have been on a whirlwind tour. We have been to beautiful Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Wynwood, Ft. Lauderdale and more. There is so much to take in and see in Miami. Visiting all the art galleries that are in every enclave of Miami. The beach at the end of Rickenbacker causeway and its soft white sand. Experienced the culture of Little Havana, kayaking on Biscayne Bay,Drag Brunch at tThe Palace in South Beach, Iconic restaurants like Puerto Saugua, The Biltmore Hotel, Venetian Pool, Viscaya Gardens, Fairchild Botanical gardens and so much more. Not enough time in a day to show them the beauty and diversity of Miami.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to dedicate this to a few people and organizations. First, my partners Elliott James who was there at the inception of the idea and has been a force of nature everyday to bring this dream to reality. Next, my brother and the third partner of this venture David Durant who’s guidance, knowledge and passion has steered our Pure Water Factory ship to its eminent path of success. The three of us had a dream which is now becoming a reality. Can’t emphasize enough how this would not have happened without their diligence.
