We had the good fortune of connecting with Emily & Sabrina and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Emily &, why did you pursue a creative career?
Both Emily and Sabrina (owners of Hippie Beach Boutique) have similar upbringings….

As Florida Natives, we both had very creative mothers who would drag us to local art shows at a young age which inspired our creativity. Hippie Beach Boutique began when we started doing our own art shows later in life. Emily with Reel Native, an ocean inspired collection of fishing gear and handmade home décor from items found in the ocean. Sabrina with Sweet Dreams by Sabrina D., a collection of colorful dream catchers’ and henna. We would often see each other at events and having gone to high school together our friendship was reunited. Emily is the beach to Sabrina’s hippie. and together, we combined our talents for art & crafting to create a hippie, beachy boutique.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
We believe the thing that sets us apart from others is our passion for creativity as well as our humor. When we are creating together it’s the most fun that either of us have and we believe that it shows in our work.

We create one of kind home décor items that you can not find anywhere else. And trust us, we have searched for items like ours to compare uniqueness. This excites us most. Having items that you can’t find anywhere else and having people notice it. Sometimes the compliment is a greater achievement than the actual sale. When someone stops at our booth to genuinely appreciate our work, it’s a feeling as good as….well you know, it’s a really good feeling!

In the world we live in today, it can be difficult overcoming challenges, but we try our best to encourage each other to stay positive and lighthearted. That is how we approach creating with positivity and lightheartedness, as well as with humor and sarcasm. If you’ve ever been burned from a glue-gun you’d know how difficult it is to remain positive, but we do our best!

What we want the world to know about us and our brand is this: Creativity and doing what you love are the secret ingredients to happiness.
