We had the good fortune of connecting with Emily Wriston and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Emily, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind the success of my brand Luxe PR Agency as well as me personally would be that I never give up on things that I am most passionate about. With that comes a lot of challenges but I love being innovative and always take time to rest and recharge…as many entrepreneurs know that burn out is real but I believe that if you are truly passionate and a true creative, you will find a way to make it work and balance life, work, and all that fun stuff in between.

What should our readers know about your business?
In 2017, I launched Luxe PR Agency, we are a boutique public relations agency specializing in PR, Event Curation, Brand Consulting, and Social Media Management for fashion, hospitality, beauty, and lifestyle brands. Representing both emerging and established brands, “CONNECTING BRANDS WITH CONSUMERS.” We are a results-driven agency that believes in seeing an ROI and creating “YOUR BRAND TO BE SEEN.” We research, create, and execute custom media campaigns specialized to your brand’s needs. We offer our services globally. In 2011, I went off to college at The Art Institute of Washington, D.C. and studied Fashion Marketing, over the four years of college I went back and forth deciding whether I wanted to start a PR Agency or fashion magazine, or create a fashion line… and you can guess what I chose! I graduated in 2015 and two years later launched Luxe PR Agency. Two months after our launch in 2017, I signed on our first client, a NYC jewelry designer, which was a huge accomplishment for me as an entreprenuer. A few months later I hired an intern and the rest is history! As an entrepreneur, there is no such thing as a smooth road, but that’s the beauty of it. You learn to find innovative ways to adjust and to grow your business and personally. You also learn to take on the “right” client, we have a unique niche and that is what makes us stand apart from other PR agencies. I live by “do what you love; love what you do.” Personally, I am very grateful to do what I love in an industry that I am passionate about. I love seeing a brand’s story come to life and enjoy creating it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have always had a passion for fashion since a very young age… but I fell in love specifically with fashion public relations in 2010, while watching Kell on Earth featuring Kelly Cutrone, founder of People’s Revolution, a Fashion & Lifestyle PR agency. There was something so real and raw about that show that made me at age 16, feel that was my calling, that I must have a career in the fashion industry somehow. Kelly Cutrone was a BOSS, she took no sh*t, and made a name for herself in the fashion pr industry, there was something so admiring to the way she handled herself like a boss and protected her business.
