Meet Emmanuel Diaz | Online Health & Fitness Coach

We had the good fortune of connecting with Emmanuel Diaz and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Emmanuel, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
A lot of people assume that personal trainers have flexible schedules that’s coupled with a liberating lifestyle. Sure, I can agree that sometimes that may be true… but when you have a fully booked business of clients, there comes a problem. If you have 8 clients in one day and you train them all at the same gym, that means you are committing 8 hours of your day living inside that gym – what we like to call “living in the box”. Being a high-level personal trainer requires a lot of physical and emotional energy in order to show up best for your clients, and as a result, can be so fatiguing that there isn’t any energy left in the tank to invest into your creative and other business endeavors.
This is where I started to brainstorm to figure out ways on how I canutilize the same set of skills, continued education, and wealth of experience in another way that will allow me geographic flexibility, get paid for outcomes & not hourly, & have more enough energy to venture out into other solopreneurial endeavors.
This was my thought process behind starting my online coaching business. As a result, I’ve been able to provide even more personalized experiences with greater and faster outcomes. It has truly been eye-opening for me knowing how much opportunity there is in helping people in a remote coaching setting.

What should our readers know about your business?
When I originally entered the health & fitness space, one subject matter that I always was passionate in learning more about was the concept of longevity. As a recent college graduate, typically kids my age had other priorities in mind such as how they looked in the mirror and how turnt up could they get during their fraternity events. Meanwhile, I was usually going on long runs on the weekend listening to podcasts about the root causes of mitochondrial dysfunction and how it accelerated physiological decline.
After building years of education, working with 100’s of clients from all backgrounds, and being mentored by some of the best in our industry, I felt prepared to follow through my innate desires to start my own online coaching business.
Deep Health Training specializes in maximizing our clients’ longevity. Longevity isn’t only about ‘living longer’ but more importantly, being able to live with a significantly better quality of life. Physical pain, frailty, illness, and lack of knowledge can get in the way of someone’s ability to be able to create core memories with friends and family. My passion is helping people overcome self-limiting beliefs so that they can appreciate how much more control of their fate they have then they realize.
The approach I use for coaching my clients in longevity is know as the “Expert-Generalist” philosophy. This is where the goal is to address multiple areas of health and fitness with the minimum effective dose so that we can achieve the benefits that’ll allow us to be more robust and resilient with an improvement in both, quality and quantity of life.
Movement, Nutrition, and Regeneration are our main pillars of health, and being able to personalize it based off the clients’ individual wants and needs is paramount in order for our health-span to last our lifespan. It is truly an art and science when it optimizing for longevity, and it’s something that will forever be a passion of mine.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I think it’s safe to say that the Miami food scene has exploded over the past few years, and I’m a big foodie myself.
The vast majority of our time would be spend hanging out in Coral Gables, the city beautiful
As a historical landmark & coffee shop, everybody visiting Coral Gables should visit Cafe Demetrio for there incredible French toast sliders and spanish pastries.
For lunch, I’d take them for a Mediterranean ride over on Miracle Mile named Motek. I love this place because a lot of their foods are served family style which gives everybody the chance to connect more socially and through food.
For dinner, I’d take our guests to a hidden yet locally loved spot for Spanish culture – Cava restaurant. Authentic Spanish cuisine, live flamenco dance performances, and red wine is the perfect experience for creating core memories with friends and family.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d definitely like to give a shout out to Mallory Austin, my former Equinox Personal Training Manager. I’m extremely thankful for her as she led me to understand what it meant to build a coaching business, prioritize continued education, and cultivate other valuable tools and techniques so that I can be the best version of me within the health and fitness space.
Thanks MalPal!!
