We had the good fortune of connecting with Eni Neadle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eni, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
Actually, the idea for A Sweet Chance, Inc. came from my daughter, Jazmin Neadle. I adopted Jazmin and her little sister when they were 10 and 8 years old. When Jazmin turned 14, I expressed my excited for her Quinces coming up in a year. I am Cuban and the Quinceanera (equivalent to a Sweet 16’s) is a huge tradition in my Latin culture. Jazmin had never heard of this custom but loved the idea of being a princess for a day. When Jazmin was finally 15 years old, she had picked several outfits, multiple venues for photos, and felt like a real princess. When we were done, she mentioned that she would have never heard of this in while she was in the foster care system and felt she couldn’t keep this to herself. She wanted to share this tradition, this feeling of being a princess for a day with a gown and tiara and photoshoots. I loved that idea so much, we reached out to her foster agency and the rest was history, A Sweet Chance was created. From 2017 to date, A Sweet Chance has gifted almost 100 teen boys and girls a real Sweet 16’s experience. These teens get a day of glam with hair and make-up artists, gowns, tiaras, jewelry and have a one on one photoshoot with some of Miami’s best professional photographers. Then follow up with a huge birthday party to celebrate and honor these teens. A couple of months later, they received a beautiful photo album to keep for their memories.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Please tell us more about your career:

I work as a legal administrative assistant for a prominent law firm in downtown, Miami. I enjoy my work and love being part of a team, but my heart and passion is my family. I also have a small passion for photography. I don’t get to spend a lot of time with my camera, but when I do, I am in another world. Seeing the world behind a lens, allows me to see everything in more detail. I get to enjoy a view of something as simple as a person laughing at a joke, capture that laugh and keep that memory forever.

We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about:

I am excited about how A Sweet Chance is slowly growing to be a household name. I want the world to know that there are teens in need of love. I want the world to feel they can grow their families and their hearts. I am proud that we are changing lives, one teen at a time. I am excited and proud that my kids are learning that they are blessed with so much love and want to give back to their community.

How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges?

I am a mom of 4 beautiful girls and wife to 1 amazing guy. Together we are the Neadle 6 pack. Full time work and full time mom is a challenge but I start my days with a smile and always thankful for my blessings and I go to bed each night with that same smile and loving life. They are always ups and downs in life, but through it all, I am the luckiest person in the world.

What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way:

I’ve learned that patience is key. Nothing worth having comes along easy. Work hard and change will come.

What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?

I want the world to know that I am different. I see the positive in all people and situations. I want to teach my girls that with love, patience and hard work, they can have it all. There is nothing to be afraid of. My favorite saying and I do say it a lot, “She believed she could, and so she did”.\

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my best friend to some of Miami’s go to restaurants… for some latin breakfast ( Cafe con Leche, croquetas, etc.) let head to La Carreta.

Next head over to the Keys for some fun and drinks at Robbie’s. Just the drive alone offers some beautiful, Florida views. Once at Robbie’s enjoy their drinks at the bar and walk around their local shops and top it off with feeding the tarpons.

Lunch would be at Black Point Grill for some amazing food and views of the water in Homestead.

Dinner would have to be anywhere in downtown, followed by riding scooters to enjoy the nightlife and lights Brickell and Downtown Miami have to offer.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I could not have had the successes and blessing with A Sweet Chance without my wonderful team.

Priscilla Gonzalez @sayilueveryday, a non-profit that promote paying it forward and spreading love.

Janeris Marte @LoveislouderthanDNA a non-profit supporting foster care and adoption and showing the world that LOVE is louder than DNA.

These 2 ladies are my partners in crime. Together with brainstorm fundraising ideas, and work with these teens to make them feel special and loved.
