We had the good fortune of connecting with Eric Rossel and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Eric, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
As a second-generation entrepreneur, tradition plays a huge role in our success. I have had the privilege of building upon a strong foundation of values and expertise that my father instilled in the business. We have a long history of delivering high-quality craftsmanship, unwavering dedication to customer satisfaction, and a commitment to excellence that has been passed through generations and has allowed us to establish a reputation for trustworthiness, reliability, and exceptional service. Our success is the result of striking a balance between timeless values that have been the bedrock of our brand and the forward-thinking that keeps us adaptable and relevant in this competitive industry.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Rossel Construction Group is a family-operated general contracting firm specializing in high-end remodels and custom homes. We have the capabilities of handling a project from the planning phase to the maintenance and property management phase. There have been many challenges along with many invaluable lessons have been learned along the way. We have faced economic downturns, a worldwide pandemic, and other external factors that were beyond our control, but we are resilient and adaptable. What we want the world to know about us is that we are not just a construction company, we are a team of passionate and ambitious individuals with congenial disposition who are committed to client satisfaction, creating spaces that inspire, and raising the bar one project at a time.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting the area, our week would probably go like this:

Sunday: Go to mid-beach Miami Beach followed by delicious pizza at one of my favorite spots, Mister 01, followed by a low-key night watching football at one of Miami’s staple sports bars, Flannigan’s.

Monday: Early morning round of golf at the Biltmore. Catch a Miami Heat or Miami Dolphins game later in the day.

Tuesday: Day trip to the Everglades National Park then test our luck at Hard Rock Casino.

Wednesday: Brief visit to the Paradox Museum followed by a tour of the Frost Museum. Grab lunch at Gordon Ramsay’s new restaurant Hell’s Kitchen nearby. Then go check out the Wynwood walls and the Miami art scene before grabbing dinner at my go-to sushi hole-in-the-wall spot, Kampai.

Thursday: Take the boat out for an early fishing trip followed by some relaxation at a nearby sandbar. Grab food at a waterfront seafood restaurant like Monty’s and go out at night to a cool bar like Cafe La Trova or Miami Sound Bar.

Friday: Go to the iconic Cuban restaurant La Carreta for breakfast followed by a tour of the Perez Art Museum. Finish the day with happy hour at Regatta Grove and late dinner at a cool spot like Julia & Henry’s.

Saturday: Farewell brunch at Zuma.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are many individuals who deserve credit and recognition in my story. First and foremost, I want to dedicate this shoutout to my father, who founded this business and is still passing on his invaluable knowledge, work ethic, and passion for the industry. His guidance and mentorship have been instrumental in shaping my approach to leadership and entrepreneurship. I also want to shoutout our talented team of project managers and skilled craftsmen who deserve immense credit as well as our talented network of architects, designers, engineers, suppliers, and subcontractors who share our commitment to quality and innovation to create stunning and unique luxury spaces. These are just a few of the many elements that have contributed to our success, and they all deserve credit and recognition for their pivotal roles in our story.
