We had the good fortune of connecting with Esteban Ujueta and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Esteban, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
I used to have a traditional work schedule at a good job, but it wasn’t personally fulfilling. 10 years into that job I realized that I had to make a change and pursue my own dreams and goals. Music was always a part of my life. I had been producing and recording music since I was young, and it was always something that made me feel fulfilled. I decided to follow my intuition and went all in to building my own business around music. I opened up my recording studio, Good Tone Studios, and it’s been the best decision for my work life balance since I believe in doing what you love.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a music producer specializing in LoFi, HipHop, and R&B. I feel that I have a unique smooth sound that sets me apart from others. I am most excited about owning my recording studio since it was not an easy journey to get to where it is now. I’ve learned many lessons along the way in building it, but the biggest one has been having patience and not giving up. The feeling of my music and the space I create for others in my recording studio is all centered around good vibes. This is the main message I want the world to know.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
A favorite food spot of mine would be La Carreta on Bird Rd, and it would be a place I would take a friend. Another spot I enjoy is Lincoln’s Beard Brewing for the beers and the live performances.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to Shoutout SAE Institute Miami where I was able to hone in my skills and make connections that have grown into business partnerships. I would also like to Shoutout my business partner, Gael Sinaise, for always pushing me beyond my comfort zone.
