We had the good fortune of connecting with Fabiola Preval and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fabiola, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
When I started at the peak of covid I didn’t really know which direction I was looking to take. I started selling cupcakes and other delicious sweets but always knew I wanted to get into making cakes. I started posting some old pictures of cakes I’ve made in the past for family and once I received my first cake order after selling cupcakes for a little while, I knew that’s where I wanted to put all my focus and attention on.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What sets me apart from the others is me, when you come to me you’ll always get the friendliest and most informative experience that I can provide. I’m extremely proud of how far I’ve come and still have some way to go before I’m in the place I really want to be. Besides taking care of my two daughters, this is by far the hardest thing I’ve had to do and I will continue to do because of them. So many sleepless nights and wanting to quit but I know that this comes with the territory of owning a business. My biggest challenge has to be that on top of taking care of my daughters and a business, I’m a full-time employee at a bakery so the struggle to find a good work-life balance is the biggest obstacle that I’m consistently having to overcome.
A few lessons that I learned along the way is to take a break when you really need to because burning out is a horrible thing to go through and it’s absolutely okay to say no.
What I really want the world to know about me is that I will go above and beyond to make sure that what you get from me is extraordinary and I put my all into everything I send out. I want my products to always enhance whatever your event may be having and it should be a pleasant and easy process to plan your event with me.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m always looking for new experiences, so I’d always check out what events are going on in my area. I’m still fairly new to the palm beach area so we’d most likely be experiencing something new together .

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would have to say my mother deserves the most recognition. Although she was a little bit skeptical at first about me going to culinary school and pursuing my passion for baking and pastry, she supported me every step of the way and was my biggest cheerleader.
