We had the good fortune of connecting with Falone Jean and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Falone, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
One day, I woke up with a determination to start my own business. Initially, I wasn’t certain about what product or service I wanted to offer, particularly given the challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, I was certain of one thing; whatever I created would be designed to enhance and simplify consumers’ daily lives.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Overall, I am SOO PROUD of myself. It may sound cliche when people say that they came a long way, but I came a LOOONG WAAYYY!!!! It will never get easy regardless of where you are. Along the way there were so many challenges and one that is on the top of my list is getting uncomfortable to become comfortable. Putting yourself out there is very intimidating at times, especially if you’re the OutKast. Where I am now is only the beginning and I am so excited as to where this journey is going to bring me. Getting where I am today wasn’t all sunshine and rainbows. It did teach me that there will be a time when it will get lonely and everyone can’t follow you where you are going. The world needs to know that I make mistakes, but those mistakes make you who you are coming from a BIG SISTER of 5 siblings.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Living in South Florida, there are a lot of things to do and places to visit.
The itinerary would be Brunch at First Watch, Relax & Vibe at Nikki Beach, Treetop Trekking Miami, Balloon Museum, The Moon Live Show & Restaurant, Las Olas Paddle Board, Rusty Pelican, Candle Land, Casa Sensei, Permanent Jewelry, Aventura Mall, and drive through Miami and Fort Lauderdale to show around. I could keep going because when it’s time to have fun there are so many places to go and memories to make.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Without your tribe nothing is possible. I want to dedicate a BIG shoutout to my Grandma, Mom, Significant Partner, Aunties, close friends: Leilah, Desiree, Stephan, Lisa, Aaron, Tacha, Kaleb & Robens, and of course the Almighty God.

One book that I want to recognize for the life I have now is Atomic Habits by James Clear. A book that is an easy & proven way to build good habits & break bad ones.
