We had the good fortune of connecting with Fernanda Aceves and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fernanda, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Starting JOYIGNITEPR was a deeply personal and strategic decision. Throughout my career, I had the privilege of working with luxury brands, entertainment giants, and international media outlets. I witnessed firsthand the power of storytelling, the impact of cultural relevance, and how strategic PR could elevate brands to new heights. But I also saw a gap—brands needed more than just traditional PR; they needed a fresh, dynamic approach that blended media relations, experiential marketing, and digital storytelling, all while embracing multicultural insights.

I wanted to create an agency that didn’t just generate press but ignited meaningful connections—hence the name JOYIGNITEPR. It was about merging passion with purpose, crafting narratives that resonate, and ensuring that our clients’ stories are heard in a way that moves people.

Beyond strategy, my thought process was also about independence and impact. I wanted to build something that reflected my values, my global experience, and my ability to bridge markets between the U.S., Mexico, and Latin America. Starting my own business meant taking a leap of faith, but it also meant designing a career on my terms—one where I could be selective with clients, drive creative campaigns, and cultivate a team that shares my vision.

At its core, JOYIGNITEPR was born out of a desire to amplify voices, celebrate culture, and create moments that matter. It’s been a journey of resilience, innovation, and relentless passion, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
JOYIGNITEPR was born from a deep passion for storytelling, cultural connection, and elevating brands beyond traditional PR. As the Founder & CEO, I envisioned an agency that not only secured media coverage but created strategic, immersive experiences that truly ignite engagement. What sets us apart is our multicultural expertise, blending U.S., Latin American, and European markets to create tailored PR and digital strategies that resonate globally.

One of the things I’m most proud of is the ability to bridge the gap between entertainment, hospitality, luxury, and digital innovation. Whether working with artists, high-end brands, restaurants or mission-driven projects, we focus on crafting narratives that drive impact and create lasting connections.

Getting here wasn’t easy. Entrepreneurship comes with its challenges—learning to navigate the industry as a business owner, building credibility, and finding the right team. There were moments of doubt, times when I had to pivot, and instances where I had to fight for the recognition and value my work deserved. But through resilience, strategic thinking, and surrounding myself with the right people, I built an agency that continues to grow and make an impact.

Lessons I’ve learned:
🔹 Authenticity is everything. Brands and people connect with real stories.
🔹 Adaptability is key. The digital and PR landscapes evolve constantly—staying ahead is crucial.
🔹 Relationships matter. Success is built on trust, credibility, and collaboration.

At the core of JOYIGNITEPR, we’re not just promoting brands—we’re creating moments, shaping culture, and amplifying voices that deserve to be heard. I want the world to know that our work is about passion, strategy, and making a meaningful difference in the industries we touch.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My journey wouldn’t be what it is without the incredible people who have shaped, supported, and inspired me along the way.

First and foremost, I want to dedicate my shoutout to my mom and grandma—two strong, resilient women who have instilled in me the values of perseverance, hard work, and passion. Their unwavering support and love have been my foundation through every challenge and success.

I also want to recognize my mentors and colleagues—the brilliant minds in PR, marketing, and entertainment who have guided me, believed in my vision, and pushed me to grow beyond my limits. Working alongside incredible brands, artists, and creatives has been a privilege, and their trust in my work has fueled my drive.

A special shoutout to my amazing friends, who have been my rock through it all. Their encouragement, late-night brainstorming sessions, and constant belief in me have made this journey even more meaningful. Having a support system that truly understands and uplifts you is invaluable, and I’m beyond grateful for them.

Lastly, to my team at JOYIGNITEPR—this agency wouldn’t be where it is without the dedication, creativity, and hard work of the amazing people who bring our projects to life. Success is never a solo journey, and I’m grateful for every person who has played a role in mine!
