We had the good fortune of connecting with Fernando and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Fernando, how do you think about risk?
Understanding yourself is key to navigating risks effectively. As an entrepreneur, I see risk as an essential part of the journey—one you need to embrace fully. For me, risk-taking is second nature; it’s been a defining trait throughout my life. My mindset is simple: if you don’t take the chance, the answer will always be no. Not every risk pays off financially, but every risk teaches you something valuable. I’ve faced more losses than wins, but those setbacks have been my greatest teachers, steering me toward better decisions and opportunities.

At The Holiday Pros, we see holiday decorating as a true art form—one that blends creativity, innovation, and passion to craft unforgettable experiences. Specializing in Christmas, we transform spaces with bespoke decorations and large-scale props, from meticulously wrapped trees of all kinds to custom-designed elements like 45-foot-tall fully decorated Christmas trees, 12-foot Nutcrackers, oversized wreaths, and festive lighting displays for both homes and businesses. Our work is about more than décor; it’s about evoking joy and creating memories that linger long after the season ends.

What sets us apart is our relentless pursuit of originality. We’re always chasing the next trend, drawing inspiration from unexpected places, and collaborating closely with our team to keep our ideas fresh and dynamic. Just as technology evolves, so does our approach to holiday décor. Whether it’s a whimsical residential setup or a jaw-dropping commercial display, we tailor every project to reflect our clients’ vision while pushing creative boundaries. I’m most proud of our ability to turn any space into a Christmas spectacular that feels both timeless and cutting-edge.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’d like to give my biggest shoutout to my incredible wife, Erika. She’s been my rock through every wild idea—whether it soared or flopped. Her unwavering support, fresh perspectives, and sharp judgment are invaluable. We bounce ideas back and forth constantly, and knowing I can trust her insight makes all the difference in decision-making.

My two daughters, ages 4 and 2, deserve a huge shoutout too! Their boundless creativity inspires our holiday decoration ideas—no one dreams up festive magic like they do.

I’m also deeply grateful for my mentor, who built a thriving business and has been pivotal to our success. He’s reshaped how I think, challenging me to approach problems differently, and I owe much of my growth to his guidance.

Finally, my mom gets a heartfelt shoutout. She’s been my cheerleader through every venture, and this holiday-focused business is her favorite—it truly brings her joy. Family is everything to me, especially in a business centered on creating holiday memories. Their love, encouragement, and ideas light the way.
