We had the good fortune of connecting with Florian Boggia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Florian, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I first entered the fashion industry as a model, being scouted while I was doing an internship in New York City. I was then traveling a lot in Europe for modeling, and at that time, I had my first small camera with me I was carrying around with me. I was taking photos of everything on the streets and of my model friends from all different countries. Eventually, on summer 2019 when coming back from a couple months in Athens, I sat down at home and figured about starting my own business as photographer.  Covid then came up quickly after, and I had more time to think about where I wanted to go in photography. I quickly got high-end clients like Balmain, Elle Russia, and many more, which helped pave my way into more Fashion and Celebrity photography.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
To be honest, in my childhood I’ve never expected to pursue an artistic career. Coming from an athletic career in tennis where I played 4 years in Michigan after finishing high school in France, I always had in mind I would be  pursuing a professional career in tennis. Although I already had a huge interest for painting and photography as a kid. Later on in my twenties, photography became more than a passion. I have always been inspired by the cinema and so many great photographers such as Peter Lindbergh. I aspire to be able to give the same inspiration through my work. Being able to convey a message through an image is a unique moment to me.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take him straight to have a coffee and breakfast at Leonie bakery in Paris which is to me the best one in town with their Chocolatine. Then I would take my friend to Parc Monceau which has its own charm within the city. We would continue walking up to Arc de Triomphe, keep walking down the Champs Elysées. We would enter the garden of Tuileries, walk until reaching The Louvre, visit the museum for the afternoon, and have dinner one of my favorite ramen place next to the Palais Royal.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to shout out to my whole family for supporting me since my younger years during my whole Tennis career until now.
