We had the good fortune of connecting with Francesca Perini and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Francesca, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Right after grad school I started working in a big PR agency in Miami, handling all of the social media clients and working on over 15 accounts a month. I absolutely loved my position and what I was doing there, but I soon noticed that it wasn’t possible to give all the attention those clients needed because of how hectic the PR world is. Shortly after, I started Stellar Media Agency as a “test,” with the idea of having a few clients as a side job, and possibly finding a better position in a different agency. Client after client, the agency grew so fast that I quickly realized I could really turn it into a proper business. So when i decided to really “go for it,” I made it my goal to give 100% focus and attention to each and every client that trusts us with their business, regardless of how big or small they are. Every client is our #1 priority, and I think this is why our agency is so successful. Our clients understand how hard we work and how passionate we are about growing with them.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Stellar Media Agency is a one-stop social media agency that provides everything needed to elevate your brand’s online presence. Our services include social media management, content creation, photography, reputation management, paid advertising, digital copywriting, graphic design, and web design. We know clients have very different needs, so our plans are specifically tailored to what exactly you’re looking for. We work with clients in all industries: from fashion & beauty to online services, from health & wellness to hospitality, and much, much more. Being able to share our clients’ stories with the world is spectacular, and truly my favorite part about what we do.

For over a year Stellar Media Agency was me, myself and I. I was a content creator, a photographer, a graphic designer, a copywriter, an ad manager, an accountant, and countless other positions. Expanding to a team of 4 incredibly talented women was amazing, but definitely not easy. Building a team, regardless of how big or small, is hard – and trusting others to do your job is even harder.

I think the biggest hurdle in my career has always been my own brain. Being a 28-years old woman entrepreneur isn’t easy, but definitely doable. The hardest part is actually convincing myself that I am on the right path and being confident in my own abilities. Some days I wake up and my “impostor syndrome” is very real, doubting my capabilities and feeling like I am fooling people, in a way. Other days I wake up and I can take over the world because I know that I will always be the hardest working person in the room. Through our business growth and my personal growth, I have learned to stick to my beliefs, to always welcome constructive criticism, and – most importantly – and to not being afraid of saying “no.”

I definitely think psychology plays a huge role in business and that our society should pay more attention to mental health when creating and molding our future leaders. I love doing this so much and I am so passionate about social media that it really does not feel like a job, in fact I can work 12-hour days and still enjoy every minute of it. However, I feel “positively overwhelmed” in the sense that despite how thankful and blessed I am, it’s definitely scary to grow this fast and scarier to work in an industry where I need to be reachable and connected at almost all times. Every day I make mental health my biggest priority, whether that is enforcing communication boundaries with clients, reducing screen time, learning how to de-stress and meditate, or taking time off.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This august will mark my 10-year anniversary of the day I moved to Miami from Italy at 18 years old! I’m so incredibly grateful for everything this city has given me, and I cannot believe that I spent more than a third of my life here. I’ve lived in Midtown Miami for 7 years now and love everything about it. I saw the transformation from small buildings to skyscrapers and from little restaurants to new hospitality staples. Here’s my all time favorites:

– Best Drinks: No. 3 Social
– Best Food: Suviche, Mister 01, Tap 42, Sabor a Peru, Let’s Taco, Nabati
– Best Workouts: Pilathon, MegaLit
– Where To Go: Wynwood, Miami Design District, Margaret Pace Park

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to shoutout every single person that referred Stellar Media Agency to any of their friends, acquaintances, clients, etc.. The fact that you trust us enough to recommend us to other people is mind blowing to me and I still have to get used to it! But most importantly, the biggest shoutout goes to my all-women team. I am so blessed to be surrounded by the most talented and smart women, who not only support me individually but who also put so much passion in their work and managing our clients. And finally a massive thank you to everyone who liked, commented, saved, or shared the social media content we have created for our clients! If you want to support us from afar, that’s the easiest and most appreciated help we can receive.
