We had the good fortune of connecting with G Stakis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi G, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Faith. You have to believe that it’s possible to achieve your dream and then act as though it’s impossible to fail. I never knew how it was going to happen, I just knew it would happen if I never gave up
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I was classically trained in a monastery off the coast of Greece when I was 19 and ordained an iconographer at 22, giving me the same title as my childhood heroes, Leonardo Da Vinci and Michelangelo. That set the tone not just for my career but my entire life
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If I have a client come into town I’d take them around to the different venues that have my art on display. I would start with a happy hour at The Standard in Royal Palm Plaza for a few cocktails, do a little shopping at Raise the Bar, a high end boutique in Boca City Center, maybe take them for a nice authentic Greek dinner at Souvlaki Time in east Boca, and end the day with a few bottles at Salt7 in Delray Beach for some nightlife entertainment.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My mother and father and all 11 of my siblings.
