We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabbriella Gabbidon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gabbriella, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
So ‘The Daily Life Planner’ was created in the shower during my morning conversation with God. I am a single mother so that is the best place for quite time. I can hear myself think along with having the one on one time with God. I’ve always said I wanted to be able to retire early so I could have quality time with my kids along with traveling and helping others but I didn’t know what I could do. So one day I was having a conversation with God and he told me it’s time. For me I didn’t know what he meant because I had a lot of ideas and so little finance. I had to remember Proverbs 3:5-6; “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will straight your paths.” Reached out to one of my friends that I know is a coach along with the fact she just released her first book a few months back. I payed everything out to her and she told me I need to focus on task at a time. Shanine was my mentor and coach but God was and still is the CEO of The Daily Life Planner.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The Daily Life Planner is designed to help encourage, inspire and motivate you while keeping you organized. Unlike other planners, The Daily Life Planner isn’t just about planning – it’s about vision. Some features of the planner are: 1. Goal Planning: Write your vision and make it plain using the monthly goal tracker as you start your new month.
2. Inspirational Quotes: Stay motivated with monthly practical and and encouraging quotes.
3. Weekly Scriptures: Reflect on progress and adjustments made during the week to keep your accountable and on track for success.
I started this journey in July of 2021, it was not easy because normally planner season starts in June/July. I didn’t think I would of been sold out but Pastor Oral Walters always told us what ever we ask God for it shall come to past, my mother always taught me to trust God because I have a calling on my life and whatever I put my mind to it will be blessed and I can do it. Some lessons I’ve learned that life is short we never know when it will be our time, along with we have a purpose and it must not be kept a secret we must share it.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First thank you so much Kay for nominating me for this opportunity to share. Thank you to my number one support and cheerleader, Jacqueline Harvey(mom) I remember the day I told her that I have a book coming out she was so shocked that I kept it away from her for so long. Normally I would tell her about everything but I didn’t want to tell her and then it didn’t happen. I did have some doubts. But once I did she made sure ALL her friends had a copy of The Daily Life Planner 2022! If it wasn’t for my mom I don’t think I would have a relationship with God; the Bible does say to train up a child in the way they should grown and they will never depart from it. God has been with me every step of the way and I am so grateful cause when I didn’t believe in myself he had others remind me why I started along with encouraging me to keep going. I want to thank Shanine for not giving up on me and encouraging me ever session, her coaching program is no joke and it speaks for itself with the results. My sisters in a nonprofit I joined a year ago: Ladies in Pursuit thank you for giving me different ideas and dealing with me whenever I was in question of this journey. Last but definitely not least my sonshine MJ mommy loves you and everything I do is for our future. He is my motivation to keep going on those days I wanted to just stop. I want to also thank myself for finishing strong, we have more work to do and just keep pushing and have faith in Gods plan.
