We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabriel LLaurado and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Gabriel, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Meat N’ Bone is a purveyor of premium quality meats for consumers. Our goal is to empower everyone to have access to the absolute best proteins available. When starting Meat N’ Bone we developed our plan, which really outlined everything we wanted to do. You start with a great excitement, and it is just amazing how you are able to track progress and see it coming along according to the plan. Sometimes things might not go as planned, but the right attitude and the ability to learn from it is what makes you continue that path.
We started a business in a city that is not known for meats… or having cattle, but with a great culture for good food so at the beginning we were the first to come up with our unique lineup of meats, and we were very honored by the positive acceptance and loyalty from our local crowd!
Our business grew to multiple locations, shipping nationwide and even creating our own Food and Beverage branch!
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We sell more than 400 premium quality staples – individually packed from the best programs in the US, Australia, Japan and Spain. We focus on G1 Certified USDA Choice and Prime beef sourced from Midwestern farms, Wagyu-Angus Cross Beef (Prime+), Japanese Wagyu A5. Meat N’ Bone is one of the biggest retailers of Japanese Wagyu in the US. We also offer premium Dry Aged Steaks, including alcohol infused steaks (rum, whisky, gin) as well as Grass-Fed steaks.
Our standards for sourcing are extremely rigorous and extend to our other offerings such as fish, seafood, lamb, duck, domestic and imported pork, chicken, turkey and a wide variety of game meats. We only work with best-in class products from farmers who care.
Meat N’ Bone is the only place customers can get over 20 different types of Ribeye, let alone the only place in the world where you can get 5 different types of Picanha -from G1 Certified all the way to Japanese A5 Miyazaki-Gyu.
We only work with programs that offer traceability and stand behind their quality.
Meat N’ Bone offers on-demand ordering with same-day delivery and pickup in South Florida and 24-hour+ delivery all over the US. Our prices are competitive with other online meat retailers and fine grocery stores.
Our boutiques have re-defined the way our customers buy proteins, with an experience akin to buying a fine watch. The customer is always front and center, receiving help from one of our associates.
Most people will learn more about beef on one visit to Meat N’ Bone than in a lifetime of buying from the supermarket.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
From the food perspective: Definitely come visit Meat N’ Bone and have lunch at The Wagyu Bar!
Next up go to experience the best beers in town at Tripping Animals Brewing, Biscayne Bay Brewing and Magic 13! For cocktails and fun to visit Cafe La Trova and Ball and Chain!
Then schedule some lunch or dinner at NIU Kitchen, Lung Yai, Cote, Leku, Ojo de Agua and an arepa at La Latina!
And to have some coffee at Pasion del Cielo or Panther Coffee and ice cream at Aubi & Ramsa!
Spend a day at the beach! (Miami Beach, or North Miami Beach or Key Biscayne)
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
We shoutout to our families and customers. They are the reason our business is a success!
