We had the good fortune of connecting with Gabrielle Laura and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Gabrielle, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I’ve known since I was a little girl that I was going to run my own business one day. I joke that my first sentence was “I’m going to be an entrepreneur.” I’ve just always known and for me, someone who is highly intuitive, it’s nearly impossible for me to ignore my intuition.

I didn’t start off my career as an entrepreneur, even though it was the only thing I wanted to do. I started off as a receptionist at a local magazine in Boston where I worked 40+ hours a week and made $900 every two weeks. I remember my first day so vividly. I got in, sat at my desk chair, got myself situated and looked at the clock. It was 9:22am. I was 22 minutes into working for someone else and made the promise right then and there that there was no way I was going to do this for the next 40 years. I didn’t even know how I was going to get through that day. It was so out of alignment for me and my gut let me know every single day.

1,826 days later (who’s countin’?), I was laid off and started my business the following week. I needed that nudge from the Universe to set me on my way. 2.5 years later and I’ve never looked back.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I love this question so much, mainly because it was a journey to get here. I started my business in April 2020 when the world was navigating the pandemic. I was laid off from my job, my husband was laid off from his 48 hours later, and we lived across the country from our entire family.

I started my business knowing that I didn’t want to put our financial security in the hands of anyone else ever again and promised to get us out of this situation. Egg on my face. I didn’t make a single dollar in my business for 6 months. It was brutal.

Even after those 6 months, my business was a slow-scaler, which looking back now makes total sense because I had a lot of healing to do, but going through it was a doozy. Instead, I (with another nudge from the Universe) went through a deep healing journey and a spiritual awakening.

I went from not believing in anything to seeing angel numbers everywhere and feeling how guided and supported I am in my dreams. Throughout this 2.5-year shift, I uncovered the greatest gift I could have ever asked for: my intuition. I discovered that I am able to channel other people and connect to their intuition/highest self and relay messages back to them, helping them in their healing journey.

I’ve always had a focus on entrepreneurship. Previously, I worked in people’s businesses helping them figure out their niche and get their businesses off the ground. My business is currently undergoing a pivot where I’m stepping into this side of myself fully so that I can help entrepreneurs in my highest and truest form. My focus going forward is helping founders & CEOs heal and tap into their intuition so that they can uplevel.

I can feel what’s coming, and I’m so incredibly excited to experience it.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband, my mentor, Abraham Hicks, and my 3 rescue babies. All of them have supported me in ways I can’t begin to describe.
